Will my return line 6an braided seal on this flare with the oring ? If not what can I use ? It is a 5/16" hardline. Hose threads on good and seems to seal but it's behind the seat in a c10 pickup so wanna make sure I'm good or not. Stock truck fuel regulator and rails on a 255 pump so I'm assuming 58psi.

 

I would say absolutely not, and 5/16" is not a typical size for -6

What used to screw onto that ?

 

It's new. Used an 18" piece of 5/16" line threw the sender and it already had flared end and fitting on line. The fitting size must be 3/8 because it screws onto the 6an perfect. I know it's not the correct flare on the end but wasn't sure if the oring would squash as the seal.

 

looks like a power steering fitting..... dont try and attach a AN line to that.... Dont want to catch on fire do ya?

 

Inverted flare adapter. Russell sells one. Not sure if that's the right size for you. Also check out Pure Choice Motorsports. They have several sizes.

Looks like a standard GM "saginaw" fitting. You can get adapters to go to -6 AN

 

Does no one else recognize its a screw in iso flare fitting for like a fuel filter? You dont use those brown orings for anything but fuel. they wont work well for power steering. Thats a type that screws into a fuel filter. Cut the line use a compression adapter to an.

 

I'm not sure if this will work, but I used one of these except in 3/8 to adapt to my stock feed line.
