My daily 13 Seirra 5.3 is a slug on the highway when towing. I ordered this 70mm on3 setup along with a return fuel system that includes an adjustable fuel pressure regulator along with a dual 320 pump drop in. I'm thinking the injectors that are in the truck already will be ok if I only have it tuned for pump gas only and eliminate the flex fuel. Does this sound correct? Any other advice would be appreciated. My tuner did give me the part number for a MAP sensor that is used on the supercharged V8's.
Unless you modify the stock injectors, they are going to be worthless.
You may have missed that he has flex-fuel injectors, which should be rated at 40#. That would be plenty for a nice low boost setup on the 5.3 with gasoline only. Obviously if he wants to push the boost anywhere near the capacity of that size turbo, he will need more fuel.

The kit comes pre set for 6-7 lbs, I'm not looking for crazy power I have a ten second car already that I take out on the weekends. I just want the truck to no longer be a slug once highway speeds are reached while towing. Granted I would get a little bit of satisfaction pulling away from a ricer at a stop light in a truck on 32's
I have the same kit on my 2010 chevy 1500 4.8 4 door 4x4. I havent had the boost higher then 8lbs and it tows well and is much faster then the cammed 6.0 that was in it before. Nothing like my twin turbo 5.3 280z but its great as a daily. You'll enjoy it.
bit the bullet and get bigger injectors and pumps keep the flex fuel so you can run e85
I plan on going E85 on my ten second car, this is just my daily and E85 is 45min to an hour away from my home. I did get the twin pumps and return system though
