Default Air intake gauge?

Looking to install air intake temp gauge . The inter cooler pump blew a fuse the other day and my ait were 170 before I figured it out. Can I piggy back a gauge off the existing sensor? Or I have to add another one somewhere? It's a 6.0/whipple 2.9. I can see temps on laptop thru tuning software, but it would be nice to have a gauge.

Why not just buy an UltraGauge or Aeroforce scan gauge? Then you can monitor whatever you want, including IAT's, as well as clear codes etc.

Thing is , although I have a obd2 port , I don't think it works. I've tried to use a code reader on it to no avail. Prob because it's an aftermarket ecm/harness. I'm going to try to hook one up thru my Dakota digital gauges

No you cannot randomly piggyback off 2 wire type temp sensors.

I figured that but it was worth a shot. The one the ecm uses is in the back of the blower case, after the intercooler. (Perfect spot) I. Might be able to hook up a tablet to tuning software and monitor that way. Beats driving around with laptop open all the time

Yes. Fix the obd2 port. Torque Pro is awesome.

I don't think there is any fixing it. It's an aftermarket harness /ecm. The bus/can signals are different. (I think ) . I'll have to shoot mast an email and ask

Glowshift and pro sport make dual intake temp gauges. I run one on my supercharged 5.3 so I get temps after the supercharger and after the intercooler. I run the glowshift gauge. I like that I keep it in and verify my temps and still use my OBD2 port for tuning and datalogging.

Yes , on a laptop. I'm trying to download onto a android tablet I have laying around.ive seen it done. Guy had a kit car with a mast motor in it. He controlled everything with an I pad mounted in dash. I ordered a mini USB to USB . Hopefully it works out.

I talked to mast. I guess I need a gauge that supports j1939 can protocol to connect using obd2 port.
