I'm going to use a guy to build the board for me, while it would be a fun learning experience I have plenty of other things to do.
Update. I bought a pair of double adjustable front shocks, and they don't clear the lower arms. As the upper and lower arms are crusty and huge, I'm going to buy a set of BMR ones from a buddy that he never used. Hope to have those next weekend.
To do list:
I'm thinking to do the fuel lines myself. Encouragement???

So why am I doing front control arms... I'll tell you why. My Viking shocks won't clear the bottom control arm. They are installed by pushing the shock through the hole, then rotating it so the bottom brackets line up with the holes in the arm. I've read this can be a problem with stock arms. I asked around on brands and my ol' buddy and co founder NineBall had a set lying on a shelf, just needed to be sandblasted and recoated.

John, What rear gear are you planning to run with the turbo 400 ? What rpm are you planning on at the stripe ? Surprised you did not go with the glide considering this is basically cappizi’s set up. Any particular reason you chose the 400 ?

Gears, good question. I did T400 to get the car out, but a glide or 2 speed 400 setup would make more sense. I was thinking to redo the trans for 2nd gear leave over the winter.
Gear wise, if I run 2 speed 400 setup then 3.70.

Gotta keep that momentum up! Like fitness, its a daily lifestyle to reach a goal. Keep er in gear just like you posted above a coupla three hours every day and it will be done sooner than you realize. Each day off is two set back, remember that and build build build! Yeehaw

Well not 100% of the ordered fuel system parts are coming tomorrow, so I think my two projects this weekend will be mounting up both seats (have to drill some new holes in the seats), and buying a hole saw bit to make about a 2" hole in the firewall.

My car came set up for a 400 with a custom moly torque arm and crossmember with ds loop. Not worried about changing the set up but still wondering about a 210 400 or turboglide vs the Powerglide with a set up similar to yours.

A build I'm familiar with has been 8.3@164 with a T400, 28s, and I think a 3.25 out back shifting under 7 grand. I'm planning to shift slighty above 8 grand, so still thinking 3.70 gears. But this thing might become a wheelie machine.
Mounted both seats, entailed drilling some holes in the bottoms for the brackets:
Fuel system, not all parts showed up, I"m guessing the rest will show up Monday/Tuesday. screwed a few fittings into the rails, that was about it.
Used a hole saw bit, drilled a hole in the firewall. Might be too small...
