Thanks guys. I been behind the scenes somewhat helping a few class racer buddies but the time had come to me to dust off the pocket book and spend some money.
Gotta say I really like the radials for street driving and stability up top. My chassis is a little unstable though.
I honestly can’t tell much of a difference "hook wise" between the 275 VS the 315. Both work great when new. About half way through the life of the tire though they don’t work as well which is a bummer. Slicks seem to last longer. (even with street driving)
They have a new “Pro Bracket Radial” I was wanting to try. Basically a slick with the stability of a radial. Curious about the life I can get out of a pair.
Ah yeah the PBRs, I have a set of those 275/60/15 for the 5th gen but I plan to run a 30 inch tire on ol' Yellow Fever. I figure 30s will make it easier for me to dial the car in plus I don't really fit any classes. If there was a local Ultra class I'd approach it differently. I know they make a 30" PBR.
Planning to get a base tune from him for $ of course, and I'm not going for his records, I won't be as light for one. But I'd like to do well and back his record up.
Who doesn't like a 67 Camaro-Was the first car I bought new, Bolero red with a white stripe, 4 sp, 396/375, daily driver/race car, ran stock and super stock, it was an expensive car, $2975 delivered, lol

I had to ask, will be fun to watch everything come together.
I mean of course I'd like to beat him but I don't even have the car together so it would be pretty ballsy for me to say I'd try to run a 7.80 (but I'll try hehe).
