I feel like you have enough room in the nose for the same unit I'm using, either that or in front of the driver side fender in front of the tire with another style.
Plus if its in the center in the nose it won't drip condensation in the path of the tire.

I've got it down in the nose of the car under the hood latch assembly, doesn't affect cooling at all either and at this point I just run ambient temp water and with the pump running it never gets much over 70 degrees IAT.
I'm also only on low boost 10-11 lbs. but I intend on turning it up to 14-15 lbs. on pump gas with ice water in the tank because I think the cold charge will help me get away with that much on the 10.25:1 compression.
Once that's dialed I'm thinking race gas and ice water and seeing what she'll make on kill.
This weekend I plan to work on rear suspension, adjust shocks, and clean up the interior. Speaking of the the interior, I have tried to keep it spartan and have avoided mounting a bunch of switches, goal has been to use all the factory switches for lights and ignition and control everything else via the Holley.
My Pro Ratchet has a provision for a button on the handle, so I'm thinking to look that stuff over and maybe mount the transbrake on the shifter handle, do we like that?
I realize you don't have a center console but I mounted my TB button on the console behind the shifter and used the button on the shifter for the line lock so as not to bump the TB while going down track.
Plus from what I've read the reaction time from releasing using the arm is faster than using the thumb, not sure how true that is but its what I've read from several racers.
Agreed, for a street driven car, mount the TB switch out of the way or have a master that will power the button when at the track. I’ve hit the button before on accident. Not fun.

Unsure of what holley he has, but I am fairly certain you can make the transbrake not functional above XX mph.
Yeah I've heard you can program the Holley so the 'brake won't activate above a certain MPH. On past cars I had the 'brake on a cord, not attached to anything, I have them that way now. I was thinking to mount the bump on the steering wheel unless that's a pain when turning the wheel.
Well I got out to the garage this weekend, and first fixed the rear suspension problem I had. Basically with a ladder setup, you have the ladder bars and a diagonal bar, the track bar. What happened my track bar in back (bolted onto the lower ladder bar bolt on the passenger side), the poly bushing pushed over the lock nut and the bar came off when I was backing up in my garage. For now I added a washer which I probably forgot to put on, because the front part of the track bar has a similar washer.

I'm going to work LS Fest again as a staffer, not bringing the car.
But in the meantime, I'm going to figure what I need to swap the 'race' ladder bars on. I need to take some measurements and then order or have made some spacers. The current bars have 'street' poly ends, wider. The new metal ends for rear are narrower. McMaster Carr sells spacers in 3/8 and 1/4 increments, so hopefully I need a popular size. If not I'll order over wide and have them shortened.
I have driven the car 3 hours lately, pretty happy with it. Ran between 183 and 189 most of the 40 minute drive today.
I'm in no hurry to hit the track to be honest, 95% of the time I'm going to be driving this around on the street so that's more important to me right now. I know what it eventually run at the track.
Maybe as a goal I should try to drive to 3 Windows house lol, sounds like he's about 45 minutes from me.
I will be leaving Thur early AM for LS Fest, I will work the event, holla at me if you are there.

I've got a few friends riding my back side to hit the track and get some numbers but honestly I'm having a good time just cruising it around and sorting out the tune.
Its a great feeling when you make changes to the tune and the car runs noticeably better, reminds me of when I used to play with carbs back in the stone age lol.
Have you done any highway driving or do you intend to?
