Greased ball joints, did a little toe work, I'm ready for an alignment. Hopefully I can get it going real soon like this week.
A buddy is pushing me to hard to learn how to do it myself but I want to go into the 8s and I don't trust me just yet.

I definitely want to learn, ideally I'd like to see a buddy do it all, I tend to best by watching.
So I been comparing notes like crazy with my buddy in NJ about the boost ramp. I think if I can get it to leave on 8 psi and be all in by 1.2 with target boost of 22 it should stroll right into the 5s.

Micro update, was busy all weekend with my son's graduation stuff.
Raised the front up.
It's where I want it, I'm comparing to two 8 second buddy's 1st gens:
Started messing with my new Joe's Racing caster/camber bubble gauge, ordered it with the 3/4-20 adapter.
Going to Germany tomorrow thru Sunday.

lol I had a generous amount of anti-seize on there, I wiped it off for the pics.
I was checking caster yesterday, I'm a little short of where I want to be. I want to be 6.5-7 degrees and I'm around 5. So I'll adjust that with the heims when I get back.

We trailered my '67 to Tarmac/Gary's Wheel so I could have Mark check over my alignment work.
Mark called me and said the caster and camber were spot on no adjustments needed and complimented me. I went with 6.5 caster.
He played with toe a little bit, but he said it was close. Since I'm still (factory style) rear steer, getting bumpsteer right is in some ways a bit of a compromise. Rear steer cars toe in more as the nose comes up.
I like how the car drives with 6.5 caster.
I'll finish up some maintenance on the car, might hit the Hooters car show on Sunday and make plans to hit the track.

OK, I was told on a drag set-up, you want to raise the frontend up about an inch....Like I said, just what I been told.
You have more fast buddies, so I would go with them.

As an aside I did raise up the front the car quite a bit, that was in my plan. I had run regular springs and cut 'em to lower the car and the car ended up too low.

Yeah it worked great for caster and camber.
I don't have a PN but when you order it there is a drop down for the adapter:
JOES Caster/Camber Gauges - GM ¾"-20

Thanks, just found it.
Didn't realize Joes had only on version. There's so many on the market nice to know which ones are good.
