I'm running a Midwest converter, local brand not sure if they are still around. Came out of a TT LS TA and I paid hardly anything for it.
My tuners know this PTC converter very well so I figured I'd keep an eye out in case one popped up. I know the guy who ran it, has about 20 runs on it and 1000 street miles.

Yeah Pete Caira went 8.80s with this converter in his 4th gen, it's worked okay so far but I have not really pushed it all that hard.
That said I picked up a PTC 17-0 converter from a buddy who is making his car more of a street car. This converter goes in when I change the engine.

Oh yeah I am changing engines this year.
Current: SBE LM7, Baker/Capizzi turbo cam, High Ram intake. Engine just has ARP head studs, cam and LS7 lifters.
New one will be: LC9, Summit Racing crank/rods/pistons; Another Baker/Capizzi turbo cam, might be a little bigger, TFS 220 as cast

To go with my Smith Racecraft control arms, I got these on the way. Along with the TRZ bump steer kit I'm putting on, I should be able to resolve the handling issues I was having that limited me from running 1/4 back in September.

Smith Racecraft arms, Afco coil over style bottom, QA1 tapered coil springs, TRZ bump steer kit installed.
Obligatory garage pic:
I still need to grease the ball joints. I bought some Longacre toe plates, gonna see if I can figure out the bumpsteer my buddy is helping me in some phone calls. But I don't have a caster/camber gauge so I think I still need to go to an alignment shop.
Goal is to make passes end of the month.
