How did he do in the 10k?

Do you happen to know what was competitive in the the Stock block shootout?

My sop for alignment is put all the caster in it then pull out just enough to get the camber 0. I don’t even measure it unless I’m curious what it is. Old cars you need aftermarket arms that shift the ball joint to get enough. usually you can get away with either uppers or lowers and don’t need both but it sure helps. Even my 2002 Silverado i max it out and it’s barely enough.

Remove all the shims from the front and put as many as you can fit in the back that results in zero (or whatever you prefer) camber

I had to go to taller ball joints and raise the front slightly to get camber adjs, so I could get more caster. I have the BMR control arms, I thought they would have more built in.
I just do it in the garage, have a gauge that goes on the hub, getting the toe correct is the hard part, lol.

Yeah I don't trust my measuring this stuff, I tried once before lol.

I spend some of Sunday doing some maintenance on the car. Supposed to get in early next week.

I didn't get back out, was not able to get my buddy to go over my drag alignment.

Okay deep breaths, didn't end the year with an 8 second pass. I'm okay thanks for the calls and flowers.

Over winter I'll change out the front control arms with Smith or TRZ, re align, get back out and not change a thing until the banana runs a 5.50/8.50.

Jim, Jamie, all, I'm thinking to go TRZ upper/lower arms, their coil over version. I have a few folks (Kevin Smith for example) who tell me they hold up on the street. Anyone else?

Kevin (and my other buddy Kevin S) suggested I open up the frame and run a longer shock, any thoughts on this? I'm basically going to do it at this point.

Thx.

I fix these high speed handling issues then I'm all set to join the 8 second club.

Goal is 8.50 in 2024.

Street car, was spotted by Jeremy J with RPM Trans. Might be the last drive of the year.

Pic taken by a buddy last year, popped up in my FB memories.

I like how this turned out, kept it as simple as possible.

I would definately run a longer shock if possible. If just running a radial doesn't really matter. On a slick and/or street I would run a longer shock with the ladder bars

I'm just going to run a radial. I screw around here and there on the street if there is literally nobody in front of me and I have a lot of room to stop.

Ordered Smith upper and lower front control arms.

Will be ordering Afco coilovers after the holidays.

Will also buy a different track locater bar and upgrade to a thicker one.
