Yeah I could not use the magnetic.
I'll be at LS Fest East again in a month. I'm catching up on safety gear this month, both on the car and my gear. I have to borrow a trailer since I have no where I can store one.... But we should be moving in a year and one of the conditions is I have enough room to keep one.

You could trade the bullet proof vest for a fire jacket lol.

After talking to my buddy in NJ about the window net, we think I could add a tab to the stub that the swingout bar slots into, or could add it to the main hoop. I'll re measure for the net then order a custom one from Stroud.

I had hoped this would be the year I could finally make it to LS Fest, unfort. things beyond my control wipe it out. On a trailer note ck tires, wheel bearings, trailer hitch, and take a min. of two spare tires, lol. I had 3 flats and a busted trailer hitch all in the same day, lol. 2011 Silverado, hitch was rusting from the inside, nothing visible outside, trailer tires looked perfect, 6 years old, one blew out at 55 MPH, trailer dropped on the ground 100' from a 5 mile long bridge down to one lane, almost the perfect storm, lol.

Dang that sounds like a big pain in the ***. Though I hope you make it to LS Fest one day, it's really amazing to check out all the drag entries (550), special show cars, and the big car show (1000 vehicles).
24 inches wide. Guy at Stroud said the net should extend 10 inches from the from of the helmet. I'm going to be moving the seat back a little too.
I'm trying to figure out a parachute and the window net before the event but when the chassis guy you heard was great and does lots of small jobs is hard to get a hold of I get frustrated.

So John @ Stroud said the front of the window net has to be 10 inches in front of helmet. I'm going to take a look at that, I don't think I need one that comes so far forward.

- S&W parachute mount kit ordered, arrived.
- Motion parachute cable/lever/bracket kit ordered, shipped.
- Stroud custom window net, email out to order.
- Stroud 430 parachute ^in the same email to Stroud.
- Hans device, some additional clothing email in process of ordering.
- I'll need 275s for LS Fest, I want to run the 8.60 index and switch out of stock block. I'll price compare buying them locally from White's Pit Stop vs online (Summit).
- I have been talking to a chassis guy who books a lot of small jobs, hopefully we can get the car in, I really want to the chute for LS Fest.

Installed engine diaper, makes me want a belly pan I will get one fabricated in the near future. Generally went over the car to prepare for LS Fest.
No fabrication guys local to me have really followed up, so at this point I'll just plan to run 1/8th.

Thanks Pete, I haven't gone into the 160's yet with the car in the 1/4 so I want to be careful. Then again last year I showed up with no passes and went 9.3@150 in a car built in my garage lol.
I'd like to get the chute on right after I get back so I'm going to ask bigtime on FB. I'd like to end the year with a 5.70 in the 1/8 or a decent 8 second 1/4 time.

Today is Friday when we start making passes at LS Fest. Since nobody would get me in for the chute I've been letting off around 150 mph. First pass my new front Afcos did not like what I put in for rebound and compression. With some phone help from a few great buddies I redid the front shocks and touched nothing else.
Went another 9.3 but the good news is the high end handling issues appear to be fixed.
Notes:

Notes:
- 8 lb leave, 1.2 ramp, 22 lb target, 15 timing for upper boost. I let off well before the end of the track.
- Clearly car needs to leave on more boost to 60, so we put 10 lbs in for the leave tomorrow nothing else changed. If that goes well, will add another 1 or 2 lbs on next pass. Tomorrow will be a lot cooler.

I came back around to run it out back but I did a crap burnout (I was distracted by the 6 guys working the starting line lol), Mike Brown told me I didn't get any smoke off the tires it just felt like it did.
All the suspension changes worked out, me likey 6.5 caster.
I'll do a little bit of maintenance but I want to get back out. I think on a good prepped track I can add 1-2 more on the leave. Car doesn't wheelie, just drives out.

Yeah to add, like @ls3fox was saying I was just working the front half, no chute as of yet. I have been 150 in the 1/4. I think because last year I had the high speed handling issues I was a little nervous.
Yeah so I left the 5.64 tune in because the day warmed up quite a bit and I was gonna run it out. I might be having a co2 leak issue, or my bottle gauge is fuxxing up. I left it open after the 6.0 hit and when I closed and reopened it the needle didn't move. Got a bottle swap off the track, was fine for the 5.64 but next time around the needle didn't register. I got a refill at the track (Josh's Nitrous). I wonder if I should get a spare bottle or install onboard air...
With good air and decent track prep I can tell the car can leave on more.
Details because this is a tech board lol:
--3210 raceweight, 225 me
--85/96, 10 lbs on leave, 1.2 ramp, 22 target, 7500-7800 shifts, 15 max timing cuz stock gen 3 sbe
--I don't remember the shocks I need to keep a log book (I shook the tires my first hit at the track with the new front Afcos, I was off on the clicks when I went back around for pass 2 I added 7 clicks to the top
--325-50-15 ET Street Rs at 17 psi
--Stock geared T400 and 3.50 out back
