That pigtail says it has the resistor in it so it will work. Basically an Alt wont charge unless it gets a little juice fed into it first but not too much or it damages it. So the old school way was to run a 12volt ign+ feed directly to the alt with a tail light bulb wired in so the circuit wouldnt short, but enough flow remained to excite the alt so it would charge ( think test light ). Then someone got smaerter and started using a resistor. IIRC the charging light in the dash is used for this purpose in older OEM vehicles. I dunno though its many years back so what I do know is you want to run a positive voltage ign feed directly to that pin on the plug on your alt with a resistor soldered inline and it works mint. Or buy that pigtail and go

I know I posted this before but here it goes again lol..... buy Holley pig tail and wire a 12v keyed hot to that wire.... then run a heavy wire (like 2 gauge or bigger) from the stud on the rear of the alt to your shut off switch (which I’m guessing you will be running)....
Trust me I read thread after thread until my eyes were crossed because you can’t believe everything you see on here. That’s the way I did it and volts are perfect under load and idle and has been like that for a while. I wouldn’t steer a fellow 1st gen owner wrong lol
Getting great advice on mounting the computer, relays, fuses, thanks Mike M and Pete L. I am going to find to find a board preferably carbon fiber. Would make it easier to mock it up all up before it goes up under the dash.
This week I will:
Install harnesses as they show up (front lights, rear lights, in-dash for them, all OEM stuff)
install alternator pigtail, I guess use a resistor I read 420 OHM
Buy/ source CF board or aluminum?
Most likely take my current fuse board and reuse it, why by another. The wires are so long I guess I should take it apart?
What is the go to wire loom that folks are using? The plastic crinkle stuff I used in the 90's must be outdated by now?

Anyway, first day it's not raining out, so I'll get back out there in half hour and install the in-dash harness and the rear harness.
Big items left for me to procure:
-Strange Rear brakes (buying used with 30 passes from buddy)
-Electric fans, I like Doug Cook's Derale setup, getting same one. Overkill but I will street drive in Chicago Cubs traffic sometimes.
-Fuel line fittings. I need to sit down with my buddy Anthony Manna to diagram out the system, and figure out what to order.
I have been talking to a guy who wired his single turbo LS Nova, might be using him to make the board.
John, ive been wanting to ask.... are you mocking up everything up and planning to run the car as it is or if youre thinking of taking it all apart after its all together to clean/ paint/ detail it all? Is the car staying yellow also? I dont think ive heard you talk about this....?
Interesting... I don't plan to take it all apart to paint it. But I'd like to coat the manifolds and maybe other parts of the turbo kit.
As for the body paint, I'm indifferent. I'm more about going fast in this car than trying to mint out a quasi race car. If wraps weren't 3k I'd wrap it.
Lookin good! Harness wrap I like that efi connection stuff I mentioned earlier. Its tough and looks good, heat resistant, OEM rated blah blah blah. You book marked it me thinks

Go find yourself a nylon cutting board for about $6 and make your own board for your relays and ecu. Works great, make it whatever shape or size you need.

Great idea! I was going to use a sheet of aluminum but I can see where a non conductive material would be a plus.
