here is where I located the trans cooler in my 69. with my 3" thick heat exchanger, and evap system, I had to get creative with the trans cooler. I'm happy with the result. it's there solid.

The padding below the carpet in the passenger foot well is where my dominator was mounted. Once the carpet is laid back down, you never know it's there. it's easier to access this way. we're in about the same point of our builds. mine is geared a little more towards street through. TSP 408 with a 3.6 kenne bell.

So are you driving around with the trans cooler there, how are the temps?
Today my buddy Ben L. and I dug back into the fuel system, plumbed the Weldon 2345a. We have mounted the pumps and filters where the factory fuel tank used to be, The Weldon is on the left side, and the smaller Bosch 044 will be on the right side. Then both will Merge into single 10.
I have to make a third fitting order ugh haha.

Hose and fitting gets expensive! I have not drove the car with the trans cooler mounted yet, but several 4th gen guys run it in this configuration and dont seem to have issues. I went with a dual phantom setup in my fuel cell. I didnt like how loud the external a1000 was.

Yeah I think some 4th gen guys called it sloppy style. I don't think I have room to do that. Temp controlled fan setup interests me since I will be making passes in this car.
I had a Weldon 2025 in a past car, and it was loud. I have some thoughts, I need to use some rubber washers to help reduce noise, and the Weldon is only coming on with boost, the Bosch 044 I'm thinking is good for 500 HP on E85. What is the A1000 rated to?

I ran the same trans cooler in that same location. It increased my trans temps by 20-30 degrees. I moved it and mounted it on the radiator directly in front of the fan. Trans runs 150 as long as I keep it locked up. A1000 good to 1000 crank hp injected

No room for a trans cooler anywhere up front for me. Im out of space between the heat exhanger, ac condenser and radiator.Ill have to makesomething to direct airflow through the trans cooler.

You really only need the fan for idling in traffic. Even at the rear as you plan you could add a small air dam at the rear of the cooler and that will help a lot once moving. When all else fails add a bigger cooler it will be fine fan or no fan baffle or no baffle.

My B&M super coller is pretty big, so it does not fit easily in the front unless I maybe sandwich it in between the radiator and the intercooler.
I want to try the remote fan setup because it looks cool.

Yeah, I don't have any issues, but to be honest, it doesn't see many street miles these days.
I mounted it spaced approx 1.5" below the trunk floor, with the fan on the bottom, pulling air through it. My cooler is about 11" x 12" and the fan is 12". I built a shroud to block the 1" over hang, so that all the air the fan pulls, is forced to go through the cooler
