5.3 T56 S480 Dyno results
After about 8 months I finally completed my build. Going from a stock bottom end LS1 on nitrous to a single turbo 5.3.
Gen 3 5.3 iron block, bored to 3.800.
Wiseco pistons
K1 Crank
Lunati billet rods
Trickflow 220 as cast
BTR stage 3 turbo cam
FI S480, T6 1.32 A/R, billet wheel, stock cover
Holley single plane
Holley 120lb injectors
Chrs1313 twin 450 drop in
McLeod Street Twin (heavier springs, different material)
Holley Dominator (Dual solenoid, Co2 boost control)
Custom turbo kit by Big 3 Racing (2.25 crossover, twin Precision 46mm gates, Treadstone TR1260 intercooler, Precision 64mm BOV)
On 93/meth we ended up making 850/677 on 16 pounds on the third pull. That was my exact goal so we didnt even bother pushing it.
Drained the fuel out, and put in C16. We ended up at 24 pounds of boost, and it made 1051/901 at the wheels. Car ended up making more power on less boost than we expected, and it made a lot more torque than I thought it would. Cannot wait to get behind the wheel again and see where how it does. Just hope the T56 lasts until Winter.

Its a "stage 2" T56 from DGCustomz on here. Also has the spray bar/bungs to keep fluid on the gearset. Not sure how the stock gearset is going to like the new power.

Ha, how did I miss that! Even won't over it twice. I'll blame it on a late Friday night
Edit, on that note, I've seen impressive gains with the borg warner V2 race cover

Yeah I fell into this one from a local guy for 850 bucks since he was going to a S488. Couldn't beat it, was basically new. I was considering going to a race cover, and maybe an S484 depending on the power the car ended up making. But this is perfect for now. Put about 200 miles on it since the dyno tune. Little hiccup on the 2-step, but no overheating, IATs are great. Just a ton of fun.
