Scraping my cx racing intercooler. What's next?

I wouldn't waste my money on treadstone, too many guys who push their setups hard report really high iats. My custom garrett core was $800 shipped all the way across the US. Chiseled Performance is the ****, you draw up any mounts, bosses or whatever and he will do it. Nothing compares to Garrett fin density
Just for ***** I went from no intercooler to the Treadstone and it dropped IAT's from 220+ down to mid 120's. So while I know the Garrett works well it's also more then twice as expensive as the Treadstone. However, I'm not sure the Garrett works twice as well for the dollar spent and on E85 I'm also not sure the super cool IAT's are really needed. For an unlimited budget build I'd have a Garrett core in a hot second, but I would also have a lot nicer engine! For a clapped out 5.3 build and cheap turbos I think the Treadstone fits right in.

I did back to back testing a few years ago with treadstone vs a garret core. The treadstone was junk compared to the garrett.
Heres the data.

Would be nice to see a comparison with a similar sized Treadstone to see if it splits the difference and if 16 degrees is worth over double the price?

For those looking at these results factor in the cooling area on the Garrett core increased 28% over the Treadstone. That 28% larger core resulted in being 32 degrees cooler at 17-18PSI.

I didn't when I had the treadstone. I assume the pressure was pretty high since the turbonetics wouldn't make anymore power above 31psi. Since switching to Holley dominator and PTE turbos I added a pre sensor and pressure is even at 37psi.

Yes its a little bigger but that's the closest I could find at the time. The Treadstone core is 350.00 and the 2 of the Garretts is 554.00. I would gladly pay 204.00 more for a better performing intercooler that nets more HP. I feel like the treadstone was becoming worthless over 24psi on my setup. Especially during the summer when starting IATs are 100* and its gaining 80* above that. My timing table starts pulling at 150* so less timing on top of less dense air adds up to a lot of power left on the table.
Personally I wouldn't pull timing that low unless you ran really shitty fuel which I doubt you do on that boost level. On E85 we don't pull timing until a good bit above that, haven't seen any negative impacts yet. I saw 240* IAT without an intercooler and I didn't start pulling timing until 200.
