Doesn't look like I got much done but had to do it all by hand due to the bars and uneven services. Should get it all painted this weekend so I can get motor and tranny in.

It's the poor lighting that makes it look grey.

Finally got the front plate and water pump on. I had to drill and put timeserts in all 6 holes because they were stripped when the chassis builder was making the plate. I ended up putting in studs which made it easy to keep everything lined up.

I had to cut the fins off the alternator fan so they wouldn't hit the bracket so I decided the polish the pulley and fan.

The gold didnt match everything else so I had to do something. Only took about 20min and it was damn nice.i could get the gold inside the pulley but the shadow from the shaft and nut hides it and the light yellow in the center of the fan is covered by the pulley.

While it looks nice, I’m sure you know the fins help cool the alternator?

I do, but they wouldn't clear my bracket. I cut about 3/16 of each fin. Going to have to work because everything is set up for the bracket I have.

Well I got all my rear suspension powdercoated. Turned out great, but they forgot to tap off the threads on the fill hole. It's too big for a die.....so what can I do to get it off. Will a really strong paint remover work?

I used the brass Dremel wire wheel from harbor freight. Had the same problem when I had some suspension re powdercoated and it worked out well.

like 01red you can use a wire wheel. brass is less abrasive but if it doesnt then work a normal steel wire wheel will work just be super careful and not slip cause it will get away from you quick

Well not much of an update. Still doing the paint thing. Still hating it. Takes too much time to just prep. I am changing the interior to flat black so another month of taping.
It takes a good month for me to get 30hrs of car time Work is tough right now.

wrapped everything with paper so it took way longer.

Got the whole inside painted, windshield pillars, etc. All turned out really good. All I have left is the rear section....4-link and tin underneath.

Slower than I would like. If I can get the painting done this whole process would speed up ALOT.

I wish I could have found someone to do the painting.
