FWIW ,, many sanctioning bodies won't cert a chrome roll-bar, the chrome can hide cracks in the welds, just like FIA won't allow powder coated roll bars.. Some even down allow any paint..

Although,, I knew a guy though who got through tech with a PVC roll-bar sprayed with that really shiny chrome paint...

touch crowd, maybe that 6spd and 9X mm turbo left the theater... A Team G could be EFi, they make a bolt on throttle body for just that purpose ;-), Fi Tech, Atomic, Summit, Fast Efi and a few others make that very same deal... C & S make a really nice Carb good for maybe 1200 HP not sure it will make the whole 1500+

Either a Cid intake, that work of art Panterra or if your cheap a Holley high ram. Anything else and it's going to choke those 255's on whatever block is underneath it.

Default Itb vol = 126%

Hi All, I will state a case from experience learned more than twenty years ago with customer John Mihovetz owner of Accufab.
He ran a Ford 4.6 1995 Mustang, a gift from the Fords.
He was a user of my ECU and a local CNC machine shop owner.
This 4.6 Twin Turbo had the OEM intake at first making 1400 HP at Westech. (bench)

I designed, he machined, a very nice ITB "style" intake manifold which he fit onto the car (no dyno)
I increased the fuel injector size and did a re-tune needed for the projected HP increase.
The car was race ready with the first pass having the tires "spin" mid track causing a loss of control, the car hitting the guard rail.

The most funny conversation occurred: "I do not care about the crash (minor) I was just delighted with the great power increase."
The Mustang engine was removed and the car went to the body shop.
The engine was then tested at Westech with 1800 HP now measured.

Today his Coyote makes 3000 HP (65.lbs).

Then some state a GM LS based engine cannot better that ?

What does his Coyote run in the 1/4? 3,000hp should be well into the 5's @ 200+. Adkins Impala has seen 60+lbs of boost and has been 3.9's in the 1/8th and 6.1@220 in the 1/4. Carlyles IRS car has been 6.5@220 and I don't think it makes 3000hp.

Like I said, this is the BEST intake for his needs. With an RV 3/4 cam, and Camel Hump Heads! And Glasspacks.

Don't know about his Coyote but if memory serves correct Mihovetz used to run a 281 based modular motor in a pro mod style chassis Mustang and ran high 5's or 6.0s with it. That was probably 3 years ago or so. It was really impressive.

I doubt anybody would question what a LS engine can do. But I dont believe that Mihovetz was on LS1tech (or the Ford equivalent) asking questions about what the BEST intake for his 1800hp ProMod was.

All jokes aside, I put one of those on my car two weeks ago. Forgot to update my sig, but I went to the track this past weekend, car went 5.68 @ 148 in the 1/8th. Car pulls wicked hard with the new intake.
