Pros and cons of twin gt35's vs Gt45's on a 5.3
Looking for some input on which will be better for my truck build . Either twin gt35's or twin Gt45's? Gonna build a 5.3 carburetor set up . Plan on getting better internals for the heads and a turbo cam . Will the gt35's be to small to make a healthy 700 hp or will the Gt45's be to big ?

I think they're too big for a 5.3 i asked tony reiners whos gone in the 150s with them but he thinks they'd take for ever to light. Heres his thread

China 45s turbine is way to big for the 5.3 to be effective. 70's tech compressor and turbine wheels as well, and it weights a billion pounds. There is many, many other turbos you would want to use before those in a twin set up.

Depends what the goal is IMO.
Twins allow the same flow as a larger single with less back pressure. Meaning you can be more aggressive with the top end of the combo with twins. This will make more power per pound of boost in general. Plumbing for the big turbine singles can be more of a pain than 2 smaller turbos. Also resale is usually higher on a twin setup...
If those are your only choices I’d go GT35’s hands down. Might look into VSracings 61/65 T4’s with the .68 housings as well. Don’t think they advertise them… gotta call. I’m wanting to say they were around $250 last I asked.
