Pull IAC out and pull plunger out to full length and reinstall. No problems after that it will stay extended

That one doesn't work with standard microsquirt.

The one from EFIsource is an open loop IAC controller. It adjusts the stepper based on coolant temps and not much else. It also takes up all of your inputs/outputs from microsquirt.

I have a microsquirt add-on module made that does closed loop IAC control but I'll still be testing it through spring at least.

You can use the advanced timing options to regulate idle pretty well with out the IAC. My micro setup ran great without. Just setup advance/retard to raise and lower the idle as necessary.
