Default 1000cc decapped injectors

Alright guys, i have been having issues with my exhaust manifolds glowing after just cruising. I didnt get much action in the tuning section, but persistence has paid off.

I originally thought my not flowed decap truck injectors were the issue. So i built a flow bench and they came out having 7% difference from highest to lowest. Then i stumbled upon some ford injectors i had, which are made by Bosch. I flowed them and they were about 330cc/min. I decapped them and they now average 1000cc and had 4% max difference. I have attached a pic sorry crap pic, notice they look alot like the expensive 1000cc injectors. I plugged in their injector data and after 500 miles they work great. And here they are.

My glowing manifolds ended up being timing too low in cruise cells. I had them all pulled back to fix light load surge, which it did fix but was not the correct way. Also i had the wrong 3 bar MAP data, i never figured that to be really crucial but i now believe it is. The pcm needs to know correct info, who wouldve guessed?

Anyway i thought these decapped 1000cc injectors are pretty sweet. Ill try to get a part # but these came from a 07 E350 with a 2 valve 5.4

The first 1 is ford part #, the 2nd is i believe a bosch number. I had good luck searching for either 1. From my limited google searches ford used these in alot of the v8s. Like all of them nearly. Also of note is there are no filter screens in these.

they also use what i call EV6 connectors and i had to space my rails up aprox 11/16 of an inch

What 3 bar map are you using? Yeah gotta have that offset and linear correct!

Did those injectors plug into your truck fuel rails easily?

This is great info, did you get any actual flow data and can you post it. I wonder if the id1000 data will work. Where is everyone sending there injectors to get flowed.

I did have to put new connectors on, these are EV6. I flowed them static and they were all right at 1000cc, had 1 at 1020 and 3 at 990 then 4 dead on 1000. However my flow rig is pretty barbaric and the 4 that were 1000cc i timed myself, the other 4 i had a helper so i bet thats the discrepancy. I plugged in ID data and they have been flawless. I put my LS orings on these injectors mainly because they were new. I believe the top is the same but the bottom looks different.

Its a BWD from advance. I used the first 3bar settings i found and it wasnt right lol. I think 305. And 10.33 is the 1 thats right. My KOEO MaP now shows 104.5 kpa which should be close to my area

I think that moth actually came out of one of the injectors. That's how much of a gamble it is trying to decap and use these JY injectors
