Default LT4 6.2L Procharger Bracket........

Hi Guy's

A quick supercharger bracket question, so I'm looking to stick a LT4 engine in my new FD (currently have a LS3 FD) however it looks like all the procharger brackets will cause the procharger unit to hit the hood (will be F1 series). Before i started eyeing up the Lt4's i was planning a Procharger using an Fbody / aster bracket. How feasible would be be to have custom bracket made so the procharger can sit on the (Offside (RHD- so your Drivers side)) low in the engine? bearing in mind I'm in the UK, is a difficult task, for which i am going to struggle to get done outside of the US?

Cheers Neil

You Sir are a right gentlemen,

Your emails certainly helped a plan now seems to be coming together. So the plan is buy the following :-
  • F1X
  • ATI AB026A-005 / UNIVERSAL F1-F2 MAIN BRKT (with good selection of the
  • ATI 3GNTE-001 – 2004-06 GTO TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

Anyone know what other bits and pieces I will need pulleys etc? Basically, I want to be in a position where I can hand off all the bits likely to be required to a really good fabricator, who is not necessarily a supercharger guy and come back to a running solution :-) (that’s the plan)

Thanks, I appreciate it. The F-1X is a large blower, how much boost or horsepower are you looking to make? Bob

Legend.......Well, that is a good question and the answer is as much the chassis can handle, essentially I want a nice road / track car, I’m not overly interested in A-B (drag) so as much power as is useable, this will be mated to the new 10 Speed auto. It will be running 335 R888 on the road and slicks on track days. I was also thinking of installing a boost controller with perhaps boost by throttle position. There will also be a race logic traction control unit in play aswell. The only reason I have chosen (well eyeing up this unit) is the reviews from C7 Z07 have been fantastic. Heat will also be a problem (well needs to be kept in check) so I will be ruining a large but not overly thick intercooler with water/meth injection. cant imagine I would want over 900, think anything over that is just pub talk.

Neil, I would go with an F-1A for 800 to 900 hp, which it can easily make. It is smaller than the F-1X which will help you out. Bob

Cool, Cheers for the info, what are the benifits to using the F1-A opposed to the X, less heat, smaller?

Regards Neil

Boost will comes in sooner and it is smaller. The F-1A is a great all around blower. We built this CTS-V at the old EPP shop and used an F-1A. http://www.superchevy.com/features/0...cadillac-ctsv/ Once we swapped the LS2 intake for a FAST 90 the whp went from 809 to 864.
We used to camshaft https://shop.brutespeed.com/Brute-Sp...d-Camshaft.htm and as you can see from the graph below, it makes almost 400 ft lbs of torque at just 2000 rpm. Bob
