Default Anybody have a TTI race kit??

I picked up what I think is a Turbo Technologies Inc. race kit. It has an A2W intercooler and a 76mm T4 turbo. TTI doesn't have any pictures of this kit on their website any more. I know it's an older kit but I believe it's the same one Mightymouse started out with. I looking to get a general idea on how it goes together. TIA.

Man thats a blast from the past. I assume you searched on here? Everyone probably used photobucket before they screwed us and we lost our picture links.

That's what I've noticed. Seems they still sell it but in the world of Huron Speed and On3 nobody buys them.

TTi was one of the first companies to produce turbo kits for these cars but others have come out since then. I had the TTi race kit on my Camaro which I still have pictures of on my website. I made a few modifications over the years but it is still a nice kit.

Awesome, thanks. I actually stumbled on your page when searching here for any info on the kit. What size turbo and motor were you running?

I was running an old school 76GTS with a stock cubic inch LS1 with good rods/pistons, mild turbo cam and old 1st gen AFR 225s.

Awesome, I'm not to far off. I have a 76mm Turbonetics and a stock 5.3 that I may through a set of pistons and rods in. E85 flexfuel system, TH400, 9" with a 3.25 gear. I'm hoping for 9.50's.

He ran into the 8s with his setup but I think your gear isn't going to be enough to get to your goal when you're also limited on power with the stock bottom end.

That's not a bad kit though, with a strong bottom end your car should be where his was.

3.25 should be fine with 750-800 wheel I would think. I have not bought the gear yet but I won't go higher than a 3.45 with a 400. I'm hoping the bottom end with live a happier life on E85, a forged bottom is on the horizon along with a bigger T4 turbo.

I run a 3.25 and it took a good bit of boost to hit 9.5s with a 400. I think 3.45 would be better since you'll be down on rwhp with that motor. Maybe Nic will chime in with the gear he was running with his setup.

With the right converter the 3.25 will be fine.

Yeah gearing depends on the converter and how loose/tight it is for both the launch and slip up top. I was running 3.42 rear gears and ran both 28" and 30" tall rear tires and would cross the traps around 6400-6600 rpms and would trap low-mid 150s. Had a custom Neal Chance converter that was relatively tight.
