Default Anyone half filled a 5.3 block?

So I am building a forged 5.3 turbo and I was wondering if should half fill the block, anyone done it? Gonna drive on the street some, should be over 1000+whp.
will the coolant and oil temp be a lot higher? will it be a problem to drive on the streets? Thanks.

my brothers ls2 is 1//2 filled and it is not the best on the street. he has 2 temp gauges left front and right rear of heads and if you let it idle the rear guage will easily climb to 260* if you idle for a minute or two. . if it is a good block it will live just fine without fill.

I have a half filled 5.3 block, right to bottom of the water pump holes. I do run an oil cooler and the car does seem more difficult to keep cool compared to when it had no fill. Street drives fine, 30 minute drive of highway/stop and go and temps never go over 190* in 90+* ambient.

Is it turboed? aluminium or iron block? when you fill the block do you start on one side then fill the next up to the water pump holes and make sure the block is level? is that all? Thanks for the reply
