I like how it performs a lot. I had it on the car before for a while. I just hate how the fittings are on the bottom. So I welded them all closed and did a 3/8 nipple out of the back to a vacuum block to not have to deal with it.
the intake rpm's very well.

What do you use for a throttle cable bracket for it? I can't seem to find one to work.

Ive made a few different ones so far. I weld up a couple pieces of metal and bolt them either to the top lid outer two bolts or one on the top side of the throttle body. Depending on cable.

I did not realize the seriousness of that cooler before I bought it. I got a great deal on it though so I couldnt pass it up.
I was really stressed out for a week trying to figure out where to fit it all!

Love the welds. I'm in the same boat on TIG welding. I'm always seeking insight on what other guys used to achieve great results.
  1. What tungsten did you use?(Thoriated, Lanthenated, pure, etc and what diameter?)
  2. What brand/size cup did you use?
  3. Using 100% argon or mix?
  4. What amp setting? Did you utilize pulse?
Awesome work. Thanks!

Spent another week and whipped up the turbo kit. Turned out far better than I thought I had the skills for.

2% thoriated
i used the stock 7 and they sucked. I use a fupa 12 now.
100% argon
I was somewhere between 55 and 65 for stainless
75-85 for aluminum
Ive tried the pulse and its messed me up. so I just use the foot pedal.

Default Going methanol, maybe?

Have you considered going methanol and eliminating the intercooler altogether?

Not at the moment. I street drive the car often. Outside of saving weight I dont think it would benefit me.
At this point The nose weight is helping me out.
I like $2 per gallon at the pump fuel.
I only change the oil 4-5 times per summer also. Thats nice.

But maybe the following year Id go serious race car and do it. No clue yet.

No those fuel pumps were right at the very limits for sure. They did good though.
I switched to mechanical stuff.

Tell us more about the mechanical fuel pump. Is that a cable drive? I’m planning a cable drive mechanical pump for my system, and am looking for solid user reviews on stuff. I spoke with the Waterman guys at PRI, but I don’t know much about the MagnaFuel system.

It will be a cable drive. The waterman stuff is great. I just opted to use the magnafuel to save a few dollars. This is a pretty potent pump. A couple of my accesories for it are from waterman.
