Default 7.0@199 goal for 2019 Street driven turbo 4th gen

For the 3rd year in a row Ive decided to tear apart the car completely and keep going with it.
It ran 7.5@182 in 2018 with the forced inductions 88/100mm turbo. 205.99 mph in the half mile.

So for this year I switched to a gtr98mm from forced inductions. Chiseled 3,000hp cooler and added the much needed roll cage.

Im going to put some time into it this year and stop playing around.
Here are a few photos of the car for those of you who havent seen it.

If that was playing around, I can't wait to see serious!

Ive never tig welded much. A few times here and there on small things. So I had some slow time at work so I practiced for the past two weeks. Then jumped on the cage.
Spent another week and whipped up the turbo kit. Turned out far better than I thought I had the skills for.

It was 90% street car last year. Im going to make it more of a race car this year. Im really upset about all of the cage. So Im sure Ill only cruise it to events and no prep stuff.
Im not looking forward to climbing in and out of it.

Looks real good....if your going for a 25.2 or 25.3 cert may want move up the secondary door bars. They are supposed to be at dash bar height or NO lower than 4" below the dash bar. Just had my car certified to 25.3 and the NHRA inspector said they are getting strick on the secondary bar being within 4" of dash bar. To many people put bar low to make it easier to get in an out but it takes away from strength.

PS you selling your old IC and intake?

thats the tricky thing...SFI doesn't say where dash bar has be so people put it lower so the secondary bar can be lower. I put dash bars as high as I can under the dash where they provide most engineered strength.

This is how mine was and passed...I raised the floor and put all 25.3 bars underneath.....I'm not highjacking the thread anymore lol...his car is bad ***. PS the bar holding the column is just there to mock up position.

I havent thought to far into it. Im going to get it cert'd for 25.5 and then maybe later do the under floor bars.

The bars are actually right to the bottom of the dash. Its pretty deep. I have to paint the cage still but Ill get it slid in next week and share a photo. Its really close to the dash. Looks low in the photo.
Yes I was trying to make it easier to get in. Im really upset I ruined my street car lol

I did sell the old cooler. I sold all of the old stuff already.
