Opinions on my LS1/TVS1900 Setup
My current setup:
2002 LS1/T56
stock engine
stock 241's
TSP 228R
1-3/4 Kooks LT's into a straight dual custom 2.5 system with borla mufflers
No EGR/Evap/Emissions of any kind
Made 405 at wheels on Dynojet when tuned
The few questions I have:
-Obviously boost levels vary wildly depending on your setup, but anyone want to take a guess at what boost number I'll be in with the above setup? Likely will run 3.0 front and 1:1 rear cogs. I am wanting to be in the 8-10psi range, and I believe I'll be at or below that.
-Think it will be worth it to change the cam out? I have enjoyed everything about that 228r (228/228, .588/.588, 112) and at 4 degrees overlap I don't think it will perform terribly. I know a cam with a longer exhaust stroke will be better, but for the additional trouble I'm just not sure its worth it.
No I did not buy it new, honest to god I couldn't stomach the 7k or so for a kit that wasn't actually set up for my application. I found it used and it took about a month to get the seller to sell it to me because it was part of a package deal with a GTO, but he finally did. $4500 to my door, Teflon coated rotors, 8 rib pulley setup, ported snout for 102TB. Should make my little miata scoot!
