Which type of forced induction?
After finding out that these can finally be built to hold up to 1200rwhp reliably thanks to technology and engineering improvements and in house customisations from Performabuilt.
I will be looking at importing one of these most likely toward the end of the year.
I would like to hear folks opinion on whether a supercharger, single turbo, or twin turbo setup is best?
What would you choose and why?
Each has it's pros and con I guess.
I am aiming for around 800rwhp which will be easy to achieve as I already have an LS 408 stroker engine making over 600hp.
I know I will have to change camshafts again to match the boost of my choice.
I am probably looking at running around 15psi of boost.
I want it to be reliable so I don't want to run to push it too far.
Engine is an LS 408 with CNC LS3 heads.

Single turbo sounds good but what gives you a wider power range?
This or a twin turbo setup?

I weighed my options. And on an F Body car, the procharger blower just made "sense" for me.
Albeit, I've yet to get it all hooked up. The good news however, is that my procharger aster bracket showed up yesterday! Exciting.

What to do.....
I don't think I want a pro.charger because it's too noisy.
Supercharger is not efficient
Turbo is efficient but a pain to setup and then you have issues with heat etc.
I guess what I really want is for boost to come on strong about 2500rpm or so and hang on till 6500rpm

A D1X, not only is it easily capable of making your target/desired horsepower, but with the helical gearset (I believe it's called) they're pretty quiet. My friend with his 2010 SS and a super quiet magnaflow exhaust... you can really only hear the whine during idle/coasting.
They're pretty quiet. The F-series is where things get loud.

I can tweak boost and stay in the zone for the blower efficiency,
Turbos seem to have a wider range so if your plan changes, the
cost to change the boost method is slightly easier to take.
There are "bargain" turbo options,, less so for the supercharger.. So less budget flexibility..
Install wise The few I've worked on,, they were about even for difficulty.. (Not heavy custom setups.. )

Not many people like the prochargers these days. For me in a traction limited street car it’s perfect. Pulley it for the peak boost you want and tune it for max safe power...done in a weekend and on the road. Then control wheel spin with your foot no boost controllers or anything just drive it.
