So I picked up a turbo manifold used, I forgot to ask what wastegate he was using on it, from the power of google and measuring, I am pretty sure the flange is meant for a 44mm waste gate.
I have my measurements in the pic for the OD which is on the caliper. The ID is in green. the Orange is the what I'm going to call "lip" looks like the ring where the wastegate would actually sit.
I would rather not cut this one off and weld a new one on if I don't have to.
can anyone confirm thats its for a 44mm wastegate? or have any idea what size I actually need? if it matters, he was using it with a on3 78/75 on a gen 3 5.3
this is my first turbo build, i am not famillar with wastegates at all, i just dont want to end up with the wrong parts, and just cause the od is the same size, n my mind the inner area where the valve seals could be different?
its a 44mm, got my chinese wastegat, have to take a closer look, the thing has like a 1/8'' 3/16'' gap all around the valve at the bottom, i only had a quick sec to take a look at it before heading to work, i saw some videos that showed an extra piece that slides up in there for it to seat against, so hopefully that is the case
