At the end of the video it says 305/45/17. I’m surprised they let him keep running after going 8’s without even a 6 pt roll bar let alone everything else that rules require for those times.

No....... just hard for me to get into a you tube channel for a dude that has a shop put parts on his car.... plus he was a douche to a member on here that smoked his *** at an event.... a guy that actually works on his own ****

I've had cars built by shops and I still have shops do certain things for me like build my transmission. I want good stuff, but I'm honest about my skill set I'll pay pro's to build my transmissions.
The guy cried when he got the time slip and that is real emotion so I'd say he put a lot of effort into that car one way or another.
Now you seem like you may have personal experience with the guy and you say he is a douche so I can understand your dislike. Personally I can only comment on the cars performance because I don't know the guy.
I don't hate people that have more money than me. Plenty of pro mod drivers pay someone else to build their car as well as most levels of professional racing and I don't hate them either.

To each his own man.... his car is fast, it’s a nice build, and he definitely has some time invested. I would just much rather watch someone build their own stuff and run 11s than a car that was dropped off at a shop. I’ve only had one car in my life and never had that kind of money to just pay someone to do things to it. Only time I’ve ever just dropped my car off for an upgrade was the cage. Pretty permanent so I didn’t want to hack something in there. i don’t hate him. I Never met him. He was just a douche to a member here with a silver Camaro, that ran him down in a roll race event. I guess I just protect my own kind lol

Yeah not getting into a job debate on a car forum because we all work. Probably most of us work crazy hours and some more than others. I’ll just agree to disagree about the douche with the Camaro and leave it at that.

The point you missed is...it's his money he can spend it how he likes just like we can all spend our money how we like. I don't know the guy and take hearsay or drama on TV/youtube with a grain of salt. I just appreciate the car whether he built it or used his earned money to pay a shop to build it.

Gonna take a wild guess and say your a fan boy of his. I made the points I want to make. Having a car built is like hunting in a fence. But kudos to him for having the gift of gab, having a successful you tube channel and living his dream

I differentiate the 2 groups of people who choose to spend money at a shop:
A) The first group has an idea about what they want in a build, they just don't have the time/health/skill/patience/tools/etc. to do it. They're typically not schmucks and are honest about their limitations. They go to the shop with a plan and give them a list of stuff they want and goals. They are A-ok. Someone who works hard all day and has some spare change for a toy can get where they want to be quicker by selectively having a shop do some work. The alternative is that they turn a few bolts a day for years.
B) The second group has more money than sense. They go to a shop and state they want to be the fastest blablabla or 1000hp and could care less about the setup or how they get there.....or what the bill is. They are typically schmucks and get no credit from me.

Making assumptions is always a mistake. His video popped up on my recommended list because racing videos are mostly what I watch on youtube. When I go to the track these days on "street car" night most of the cars are closer to race cars than daily drivers so I really respect how fast this car went without being any where near a race car. This car is closer to what I'm trying to do. I've never owned a race car and usually run until I get kicked out because I don't have the safety equipment to run the times I do. Don't know the guy, not a subscriber, and only appreciate the car regardless of who built it.

We have customers who we built cars for that own automotive shops and or full time mechanics. A few reasons we built their cars, we specialize in LS based vehicles, they dont, we know whats parts are best for their build goal, we build it and tune it, if there is a problem fix it before they get it vs them hauling vehicle back and forth, they make more money working all day than we are charging per day, we can work on it all day and get it done faster.
There is nothing wrong with buying built cars or paying to get them built, sometimes its just about time and not about about money.
We have 2 customers who are billionaires who can obviously do anything they want and have hundreds of cars. They do all of the above, buy built cars, build cars, and pay multiple shops to build cars, all three options end up with nice cars. There are some great deals out there buying built cars if they were built by a reputable shop and arent a complete hack.
