cant make gate spring psi
5.3/glide/s480 t4 1.25ar
water intercooled.
with the 7psi spring in I could make 6psi , but no more regardless of my e-boost control solenoid which I had set at 70/100.
I have since put in a 14psi spring which today made 8.8psi .
I will say the solenoid gets boost pressure from the turbo comp housing
and my boost gauge is connected to manifold. (im not sure this would equate to that much loss)
pressured my system checking for boost leaks , was one minor one which I am fixing but don't think this is causing that much.
also on my previous gear setup I thought I was making 11psi because that what my boost gauge memory recorded but after checking data logs I realised it was only spiking above 6psi after I completely let off the throttle. ( is that normal )
vac line goes from comp housing to solenoid , solenoid to atmosphere, solenoid to gate .
14psi spring ,
I have also ran a manual boost control and had same issues
hooker ls turbo manifolds, 2" crossover pipe
i added a manual controller. Compressor housing to controller than controller to same wastegate port. Now I can control boost fine.
before when I had my wastage dumped into my exhaust I would have 8lb springs give me 12psi boost. Now they are dumped to atmosphere and I’m fine.

So if your making 7psi at the compressor you may only end up with 5 at the intake due to losses. If you reference from the intake, you will make 7psi at the manifold with a 7 psi spring.

9psi boost gauge
ecu measured 9.4 on my data log

looks like it fell off but could just be a delay after taking foot off pedal..
I put some eboost control into that 30/100 to the solenoid and got 9.1psi on the gauge
