Boost new guy map sensor question
I am running a terminator x max and set the scale to the Holley 2 bar. Car is using 450lbs per hour and it says 7 psi at 6400 rpm.
just wondering if there was a way to confirm map sensor calibration.
Key on, engine off, you can put 15 psi on the sensor and check what the Holley data says.
Its a handy tool for checking boost referenced fuel pressure regulators, waste gates and BOV’s as well.
Another test is to see what it reads key on engine off and the sensor open to air. Should read approx 100 kpa (14.7psi) plus or minus depending on your elevation.
Ron
0V = 8 kPA
5V = 200 kPA
Baro and MAP pressure readings should be on top of each other with key on (before start up). If not, then your MAP calibration isn't passing the laugh test.

Many operate linear in the 0.5 to 4.5v range
But testing is so easy, it is the safest option. Calibrate things correctly, not by guessing.
