Anyone else have belt eaten by Reichard pulley?
Something ate my belt. I'm wondering if it's the Reichard pulley. I normally use Drive-rite belts, this one is a Dayco Poly-cog.
Anyone else experience something tearing up the belt?

Yup, just installed A&A bracket. Suddenly I have belt grip on the crank. This does not create a problem with my drilled 3.5" pulley (doesn't have 'teeth' like the Reichard), but the 3" Reichard eats the belt up. Didn't have this problem with the MMS bracket since the crank pulley slipped.
Just wondered if this was common on the Reichard design with a thin belt and good bracket setup.

Ran a 3" RR pulley on my car and it still had the original belt after 6 months and it looked (and still looks) fine. You most likely have an alignment issue. Riechard pulleys have no tolerence for being out of alignment, make sure all the right spacers are in the right places on the bracket.
You can also turn the riechard pulley around, if you look at the 'vanes' they are directional. It may chew the belt up less if they are pointing the other way, worth a try..
