OP,
Our Pro LS rods and pistons are up for the task. The pistons are modern 2618 forgings designed for boost and nitrous. They have thick ring lands for durability. The rods are top-notch 4340 H-beams precision-honed in the USA to +/- .0001". The rods come out of the box with ARP 2000 7/16 rod bolts with 200,000 psi tensile strength. Those are typically an upgrade option for other rod manufacturers. Our piston and rod kits come with a premium ring pack. They include steel top rings designed for boost and nitrous. They include Napier-hook second rings for maximum strength and oil control.
Being boosted, we would assume you want to go with a dished piston. For the 5.3's we have a 7cc dished piston. There's a .005" over piston in case the bores have to be cleaned up. Either of these kits would put you right around 9.3:1 with 65cc heads and .040" head gaskets.
- Stock bore dished piston and rod kit
- .005" over dished piston and rod kit
We also have a -2cc dome piston available for the 5.3. These would put you right around 10.3:1 with 65cc heads and .040" head gaskets.

- .005" over dome piston and rod kit
One thing to note is our pistons sit .005" in the hole with a standard 9.240" deck height. Compression ratios were calculated using the handy compression ratio calculator found right on our site.
As a plus, we're running our Cyber Savings Month sale. These piston and rod kits are 10% off this week through Tuesday, November 30th.
