You know, I'm not really sure! Funny thing is I have a set of 6.0 MLS still in the package, and now I have 6.0 graphite!

Is that on a 4.0X" bore block? That seems like the gasket is way too big.

Well, I think the MLS I have may be for a 5.7 . . . can anybody confirm? Part # 12498544

Also, someone in this thread says that Corky Bell recommends to not use MLS on a higher boosted engine . . . dont' know what the definition of higher is though:

4.030" bore... When I bought 'em, the only other option was the GM MLS included in the entire friggin' 200-something dollar "kit" ... I didn't need the bolts, since I have ARP studs, so I picked up the Fel Pros ...

I have heard MLS gaskets won't work with the o-rings. I have some new cometics I bought without knowing this myself. If anyone wants them they are for stock bore and .052.

Why is that? I can not see TEA selling MLS gaskets for their O-ringed heads.

That's who told me they won't work. I don't know why but that is what they told me. I have TEA 5.7 boost heads with o-rings and was told to run stock graphite gaskets. I am dissapointed as I got 145.00 gaskets I can't use.

That is surprising, because I just bought a set of TEA 6.0L stage III o-ringed heads and they sent me a set of Fel-Pro 6.0L MLS head gaskets. I told them to give me whatever is the correct gasket for the heads.

Maybe it's just cometics. I don't know, Brian Tooley is the one who told me they won't work and to use graphite. I don't know if the GM mls gaskets are any different from cometics. When he told me that I did a search on here and many people said the same thing as Brian. Someone please clear this up, to me it doesn't matter because I have both and my motor is not together but it may make a difference to others.

I see a lot of people are using Fel Pro gaskets. Does any know the compressed thickness of the 9199 gasket?

Aren't the 9199 gaskets graphite and not mls? Of course I could be wrong as I only did a search and read alittle on them. ls1290 which one did TEA send to you?
