Default Final #'s 1560hp 1186ft lbs

The dyno session is over and the head gaskets lived!!

Final peak tq was 1186@6500 24.6 psi
peak hp was 1560@7000 23.4 psi

My dyno was having trouble holding it on the higher boost settings.

made 31 pulls to get cal happy. There was 15 pulls that exceed 1400hp and gaskets lived.

Best guess on hp was from blackws6. He guessed 1420hp
Best guess on tq was from eviltwins. He guessed 1150ft lbs

Wow, great way to show that the LS1 can make a ton of power with boost!!!

What do I win for almost guessing the torque?

No. Racecars don't count.

Hey 427....

The first engine I looked at building was Gen III truck block... Then I got a LT1 block because I thought it would be cheaper and less likely to lift a head... I thought hey I'll need aftermarket heads on either for the thicker deck.... Now I see a GEN III keep its head on its shoulders and not crack it making a ton of power...

I know where there is truck block... My machinist.. Had a guy ask him to punch it .030 but never payed... I think he will take my LT1 block plus a little something...

Was anything special done to keep it in one piece?

The 4 bolt per cylinder pattern has less bore distortion therefore better ring sealing but it has one less bolt to tug the head down...

That engine really has me rethinking my game plan....
