When I drop it off to my tuner I'll let him make that call, he builds alot of rides so I trust his word. I'm just doing the bulk of the work so I don't have to pay an arm n leg for labor. Most likely by next weekend I'll be pretty close to being done but I still plan to change the gears to 342 so I still have that task ahead of me. " When I drop it off to get tuned I'll tell him if he think changes need to be made to go ahead and do it"

Is The distribution block that I have the hobbs switch run to ok to run the blow off valve and waste gate vacuum too? Or do I need to run them directly to the intake manifold

Does your tuner street tune, or Dyno, or both? Reason I ask is, if he doesn't street tune it, you could have a fuel problem and never see it, until it's too late. The only way to really know, is to street/track tune that it some point to see if fuel slosh is happening. I have a buddy struggling with that in a 69 Chevelle right now, bad.
Project is looking good!

I'm pretty sure he does both because any time ive seen him tune a vehicle he always puts in on the dyno and then after he's done he always goes and drives the vehicles. Hopefully the stainless steel I added around the bucket works out, and yes it's coming along pretty good. Much easier and smoother then I'd expected.

I second this, big difference between a street tune and a dyno tune sometimes regarding overall drivability.
The car I have now had a dyno tune albeit it the WOT portion was incomplete because the trans was slipping but still it drove like crap.
The idle was unhappy, it would die at stoplights and was overall very unpleasant to drive.
Pat G. has done all my tuning for me which he does while actually driving the car on the street and will go back and forth until you are satisfied so now, I have a pretty radical streetcar that is pleasant to drive.
That's not to say all dyno tunes are bad drivers, that's just been my experience and the experience of a couple local guys as well.

this guy has tuned and worked on my truck a few times so he knows the truck pretty well and he's not one of those guys that you pull up and he tunes your car in 30 minutes and sends you on your way. He going to want me to leave the truck with him and he will take a while to tune it because he puts it on the dyno and the drives it a few times. Maybe even a few days but that's how he operates. Anytime I've ever had my truck tuned by him it always came back running excellent and if he runs across an issue then he will call me and explain it and fix it so I'm confident then when I get it back after I'm finished of course that it will be running excellent. This truck was once rebuild from a fire and was the one who helped me get it back on the road. Only part I hate is the wait but besides that, he does good work

That's good news, I've talked to guys who've gotten dyno tunes and the tuner never even took the car on the street.
Sounds like you're in good hands.

oh no, that's definitely not him. He's gonna rip it on the street and everything lol. A few times when I've picked my truck up I've had to wait because he will be out on the street testing someone's rides.

So basically everything is done, the only thing I have left is the exhaust and gears. I didn't put the injectors and the map sensor one because I didn't want the truck to start running like ****. I will trailer it to get tuned but I at least want to be able to drive it onto the trailer

Got everything wrapped and pretty close to being finished, only thing let as far as turbo is mass air flow extension is in the mail but it should be here today. I didn't feel like cutting 5 wires so I ordered the extension. This kit moves it from the passenger side to drivers. Then I'll start the gears tomorrow or next weekend. That's the part that makes me nervous but hopefully all goes well. Then off to get the exhaust welded back then tune.

Got the truck running but looks like I may have to replace the oil feed line. It's leaks a pretty steady drop from where the line connects to the fitting

If that is the only thing wrong at this point you are WAY ahead of the curve compared to a lot of builds.

Cx racing sent me a new oil line and it leaked in the same exact place. Idk if I'm doing something wrong or what but this line doesn't work, so I ordered a different line and it doesn't seem to be leaking

Changing the gears now, I was unaware that the ring was the same on the 411 gears as the 342 I ordered. The only part that's different is the actual pinion itself. But its all ripped apart. Should be back together by tomorrow. Truck is running, definitely needs a tune but it holds ideal still so its not to bad

So the pinion is a different tooth count. And if the rings are identical then tooth size has to be the same. That means the pinion with more teeth is larger diameter and the centerline has to be further away from the ring gear mounting surface.
or in this case the ring gear is thicker on the 4.11 gear set to account for the smaller diameter pinion.
so, no, dog.

the ring is exactly the same, there is absolutely no difference in the two, I'm changing from 411 to 342 and I understand the shims will be different. I get all that. But what im saying is why take the ring off that i used for the 411 gears and use the one that came with the 342 if they are identical.
*corrections it's actually a little thicker then the new one, besides that it's the same. I could fix that with shims tho I would think.
