I got the flash card that came with it and I gave it to the tuner this morning. Maybe the guy I spoke too was confused but I don't think the charts are confused

Then the tune is way off unless you're running a cam with massive overlap.

Nope. Not with that cam. No reason to idle in the 17's. Barely any overlap.

10-4, well the guy I went to had good recommerecommendations few guys I know so hopefully he figures it out. When I first took it to him my afr gauge wasn't working and he told me fix that and bring it back and I took it home and changed the o2 sensor and then brought it back so I'm just waiting now

still wondering about the "high side pressure". what could that be? 2600 of what?

as to 17 afr, maybe the injectors are not fully opening at low flow rates? →adjust in tune. (min. pulse width etc.)

I'm not sure about that either, I looked over the file fic sent me and i didnt see anything like that, and I'm sure that's a strong possibility. Something obviously is wrong with the tune because of the hesitation. Everything mechanical checked out so it has to be something like that. I wonder if maybe they accidentally put fic injection clinic file instead of fic injection connection

If the injector data is close and there's nothing mechanically wrong in the fuel system, then its the airflow model in the tune that needs to be adjusted.

10-4, if this new tuner has issues then I'll let him know that. im giving him the benefit of the doubt right now though because I can't blame him for others mistakes and he seems to be very familiar with ls motor and tuning. Hopefully he gets it worked out.

They were referring to the Gen5 LTx motors with their direct injection and the number 2600 is psi. That is why I said I thought this setup was an LSx not an LTx.

oh ok, sounds like we had a misunderstanding. I spoke with them yesterday and they were pretty clear on the data I needed to use. They sent the chart and told me to use the data for the ls1 because if you look it doesn't specify a 5.3

what do you mean by that? I got the injectors from huron speed. I just told them my vehicle and chose the injectors I wanted and that was it.

The 2600 number that you put out a while back is causing some confusion about whether it's an LT direct injection set up . How's the tune coming ?

The new tuner was only interested in the afr working correctly and me supplying him with the flash card that came with the injectors and I had to write down every single part on the truck, and as far as the tune goes I'm still waiting. Its been cold, wet, and rainy since i dropped it off so I haven't bothered him about it because I know he plans to drive it before I get it back.

Hesitation is gone, he's still tweaking it and has to turn off the cel light but it's getting better. It blew off a coupling when it switched gears that's shy it dropped down

Gives you a whole different outlook when you can finally see results from all your effort, doesn't it? Most everyone in this section of the forum has went through some version of the bullshit you just endured with this venture. It can be a brutal learning curve.

most definitdefinitely buddy who introduced me to this guy said that the timing was hot and the injector data was wrong and the tuner also mentioned he had to change the wastegate spring. Crazy part is the first tuner supposedly changed the spring. It's all good tho, I'm just glad it's running better. I still have a few things I want to do to it but that's all simple stuff I can do at any time. I want to put some different suspension on it and a few more things I want to do to keep the heat down under the hood
