Rolling 2-Step Stops Working Over 25mph? Good morning gents,
Got kind of a weird one here, I wired up my MSD 2-Step on a rocker switch so I can select either the Trans-brake or my brake pedal as an activation input.
On the brake pedal the idea was to have a rolling 2-step for building boost for roll racing or rolling burnouts.
It works really, really well and will build about 4-5 lbs. of boost in first gear up to about 20-25mph but above that it doesn't seem to work which is a bummer because ideally, I'd like it to work up to at least 40-45 mph.
Is there any reason you guys can think of that the 2-step would only work at 25mph and slower?

the msd 2 step will lock itself out if you activate it with the engine above a certain rpm

So, I have to activate it at 2,000 rpm or less and then boost my way up to 40 mph I'm guessing and then hold it there?
Or raise my 2-step higher in the RPM range to get closer to 40 mph?
I've got a manual valve body TH400 in the car so I can't down shift, so I have to plan these types of hits anyways.
I think I'll try raising the rpm up since it's easy to do and see if I can get it closer to the 40mph target and if anything, it'll just make it easier at lower speeds.

efilive custom os5 has nitrous control which gives you timing and fuel modifiers with a wired input.
i set it up so on the 2 step it added a bunch of fuel and pulled a bunch of timing. run the exhaust out the front bumper and there ya go

Oh okay, bummer, I'm still on the factory PCM.
Oh, I misread that and was thinking an aftermarket system for some reason.
I'm using HP Tuners, is there something I do can with that?
The rolling two step is killer and if I could make it spit fireballs that would be icing on the cake lol.
