You reference fuel flow ( consumption) of 290 lb/hr
Is this figure CALCULATED from Injector duty cycle times injector flow rate , or MEASURED in some manner ?

.
Next question is more directed at the Expert tuners/ DYNO operators: Which ON CAR parameter best tracks (approximates) flywheel horsepower:
MAF or Injector flow(duty cycle) ?

Holley ECU spits it out in real time in the logs. It is in real time so I assume since its programed with the injector data it calculates flow based on pressure & pulse width. I run a 100psi transducer in my fuel rail so the ECM knows actual pressure and I know actual pressure when the car is idling so I have the correct base pressure inputted in the tune.

My mindset is that Airflow doesn't matter as much as you can have richer AFRs (boosted motors). Using the fuel usage and the correct BSFC should be more accurate.

Approximating HP from either one is a best guess, but if you had accurate measurements, the airflow would be the best one to use. You could change fueling from 10/1 afr to 12/1 afr and make about the same power, but that same percentage change in airflow would change power by pretty close to the airflow change. Either way, you could then screw up timing enough to toss out all your calculations, so you still only have a rough approximation with a lot of outside influences.

I strictly used the old school DEVILS OWN style wall mount (5 micron) irrigation nozzles. They were all rated at 100psi. (Most irrigation nozzles are). We use to pick them up for $5 each at a garden supply site.
I've used irrigation nozzles with great success. Had one 5GPH nozzle per cylinder, direct port injection, to try to insure that all cylinders get even flow.

My pressure was alot lower than modern pumps. Still very effective.

Only way to know for sure if you have unknown nozzles and pressures it to flow what you have in a container of some sort and either weigh or measure the CC per min @ X pressure. Make sure to get a pressure gauge with a “snubber” on it as well. Otherwise the pressure is all over the place.
Back in the day (Pre LS), we didn't have all this fancy technology. The only thing I could do then was to reduce fuel at WOT. So I sprayed 5GPH of straight denatured alky into each cylinder and started pulling back gasoline until I had a good A/F ratio. The benefit is more alky, less gasoline give higher octane. This setup was very successful and I used to run 28 psi, intercooled, pump 94 sunoco and denatured alky. Nowadays, it's simple to have multiple fuel tables, one with no spray and one with. You could even have a pressure gauge on the alky and mix the two tables on the fly. If decide to spray my boosted LS, it would be with straight Meth and direct port injection. I bought an aluminum intake with the thought of possibly tapping holes for the direct injection.

I also have a Boosted C3 Vette. build on Vette Forum and build on LS forum Would love to see more of them get done.
