Default Project Update - D1SC Home Kit

Hello,

Pretty excited about how things are turning out with my home/shop kit, so I figured I would share.

(prior post) https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/146845-home-built-d1-system-pics.html

The car made it onto the rollers for the first time today. I'm still in the process of ironing out a few bugs (getting bigger injectors etc...). The air fuel is still a little lean and timing is still set safety low (16).

The setup:
Home Built D1SC FMIC kit.
383 All-bore H/C

The results:
665 HP
622 Tq

The fuel system is pretty muched pegged at 4800 rpm (50 lb injectors) so the peak power is premature at 5800. Once the bigger injectors are put in and I can get the a/f down to something reasonable and the expected peak power/boost at 6300 I am expecting to get near/over 700.

Who's going to tune it for you?

I hear that's the key.

I don't know, they said there was a pretty good tuner at Eastside.

The drive system is now an 8-rib SDCE (6 rib slipped too early.....bummer).

93 octane pump gas.

That right there gives alot of us hope to what we are wanting to do with our kits. I am wanting 14-16 psi and i should see it with my new FMIC and a 3.2" blower pulley from RRacing. Shifting at 6600 rpm i should see what you are seeing. I hope my 60# injectors are enough. Is that what you are going to get?? the 60#'s or bigger? Awsome man keep us all posted on what you do.

I am looking for something bigger than a 60# right now. To size everything properly I really need an 85# injector. I thought I read something about a 75# the other day, which I could get to work.

The problem with the superchargers is that the equivilant cylinder HP that we are dealing with is upwards of 900 HP at that power level.

RWHP + Supercharger Loss + Drive Loss
700 HP + ~150 HP + ~50 HP = 900 HP !!

Finding a high impedence injector that will feed 900 HP is tough.

The MAF pegs as soon as the bypass closes .

So what would 60# injectors be good for HP wise at 58 psi FP?? I would be happy with were you are now 650rwhp...... Im still new with tuning after the MAF Max's out..... Does anyone know if Jayson at MTI can tune around the MAF for my next tune when i go back with my FMIC and 3.2" blower pulley.?? I know you can tune...............

GREAT NUMBERS!!

What compression is the motor and what cam specs?

How lean were you going above 5800rpm?
