Talking Chipping away...

Local club had the track rented tonight, made some more passes

First one was aborted when the car pulled itself outta the groove about 100 foot out. Not worth trying to stay in it at that point.
http://harlan-engineering.com/milan/aborted_run.wmv

Second pass:
60' - 1.415
1/8 - 5.759@124.61
1/4 - 8.896@157.32
http://harlan-engineering.com/milan/889.wmv

A little better than before, but it still just wasn't leaving like it should. I'm stuck w/ the wastegate spring pressure off the brake right now, and 7.5/8 psi just ain't doing it

They asked us nicely to run 1/8th miles from then on since i haven't got the chute mounted just yet

Third pass we tweaked the shocks a bit, and I leaned the car out a little. It's was actually dipping below 10:1 on the first full pass.

60 - 1.383
1/8 - 5.684@127.54
http://harlan-engineering.com/milan/568_8th.wmv

I sure wish i ran that one out
A nice wheels up launch on that pass, I didn't have the sack to stay in it completely. Wasn't expecting it to come up that hard

Fourth pass suspension was about the same, only a little less tire pressure. Just didn't 60' the same, and was a little squirmy on the big end. I ran it out anyway, as we were near the end of the night.

60' - 1.423
1/8 - 5.724 @ 126.70
1/4 - 8.821 @ 158.90
http://harlan-engineering.com/milan/882.wmv

We should be able to get some low 70's out of it next time out, but i'm really interested in breaking the 160 MPH mark

Still only 20 psi for those interested

DERTY's working on the vids now

Yeah, that is OK in your car but, would be better in your truck.

Matt thats some crazy stuff. How much you think you can get out of this setup before you have to go bigger? 8.60s? Maybe faster?

It was 3330 last week with me in it. We haven't changed anything on the car since, so it should be able the same. Give or take a few lbs for the laptop and amount of fuel in it.

wow, that is awesome Harlen. I hope you get down to compete with the record. I am sure the bar will be raised here very shortly but you are on a bad *** curve to the top.

PS. Can I get my 2step so I can go that fast. I ordered 2 of them about 4 months ago. LOL
I know you are busy.
