Default Intercooler who??

I have almost everything i need now for my FMIC to go on.
Waiting on all my Stailness 3" piping to show up and it will be time to start fabbing things up.

All that is left is to order 2 more 3" straight sections of SS piping and to decide if i want a Bypass valve or a BOV.
Im looking at the Tial 50MM BOV as my first choice. On there site it says for Turbo and Supercharger applications. What do you guys think?
ATI Race Ready Bypass valve or
Tial 50MM BOV
Im leaning towards the Tial more because of price also. its about $140 cheaper too.
Oh and of course a 3.4" blower pulley will go on this time also.
TIA
Kyle

I had alot of cruise buck with this, I ended up putting two more surge valves inline with each other on the other side to vent both sides to stop the turbulance I was getting. I run this valve pretty much almost closed. When I added this BOV I suddenly held 10-12psi from the 7-8 I was seeing. Its pricey and noisey as hell(not bad now that its closed alot more) but it was worth every penny since it doesnt leak boost what so ever.

So what your saying is that you had bucking before with the ATI Race Ready but had to adjust it???? But once you did you saw more boost then you did before because the other bypass valves were leeking boost by??? Anyone know if the TIal 50MM BOV will leak boost by??
Thanks

I had minimal cruise bucking w/the ATI, mine is more towards the closed side too, but I don't think that will happen at all w/the hard piping that we are doing now for the FMIC setups

I totally agree, its the stupid *** design from ati, both sides need to be vented and thats what I basically did. With the fmic one pipe one vent, should be sweet with this ati race ready. I wanna run it open and become a street sweeper

Lookin good Kyle, PM me if you need any help. Looks like 2.5in opening lol.
The ATI race ready is nice especially that pic that 5 liter eater posted, but man are they pricey.

Sucks that your SS is being held up right now. But man is it nice. I noticed your HTS stuff. I also had a 3.0 reinforced 90 deg elbow, used it for the outlet on the s/c. What are you going with?

Im going to go straight out to the passenger side and maybe use one of the 45 degree bends there to straighten things out. Ill then take one of the 180 degree bens and go into the IC. The ill take the other 180 bend and come out of the other side. Ill cut the 180 bend in the middle and reweld it and angle it up towards the TB. Ill then use some more straight piping and then one more 90 degree bend towards the MAF. The ill use a 3" to 3.5" intot he MAF and then a 3.5" to 3.5" into the TB. Jim told me to put the 3.5" coupler in a pan of water and get it to almost boiling temp and then put it on..... the only think that gets me is how am i going to mount the IAT sensor?? Any pics of that??? Im going to paint all of the piping either semi gloss grey or black.
Hows that sound.

Here ya go, in the side of the TB pipe. I used a rubber grommet, from NAPA they came in an assortment pack. I matched the one to the IAT sensor, drilled an oversized hole and mounted the grommet in there and glued the IAT sensor, and grommet to said pipe with epoxy, smooth it out and painted it

I can almost picture your set up in my head, let me draw it up on the computer and I'll send it to you to see how close I come to nailing it.
