That depends on who you ask. There are some real haters, but I think its great. 5psi on stock LS1 will put you at 400-430rwhp and 430-460rwtq. That is the range for most. There have been some quoting 450. I would say that is pretty good for 5psi.

this install is actually another guys car. this one is on a Firehawk and he is using a T-70 with a .96 A/R. going to start off with 12psi

nice thing for me is we are figuring it all out on his car so my car should be cake to do

Wow, how much do you think there is to gain on a cammed car? Say a G5X3 on a 114 LSA or more of a "turbo cam"? Thanks.

Hmmm interesting... same setup I'm using on my custom built STS clone, except I have the boost turned down low until I get my fuel system done.

.

The X3 has so much over lap it would be piont less for u to put a blower on it. Need to look at a GT2-3 cam or something on those lines.

In the case of a blower what u said holds true, but he is talking about a rear mounted turbo. I think cam rules changes when u are talking about a rear mounted turbo. I think the extra overlap will creat faster exhaust flowing to the back of the car hence creating faster spool and more power. It would be intresting to see a stock LS1 with STS against a Cammed LS1 with STS dyno. Just my .02 cent.

I might just try it. I see what u are saying. But once u hit max boost there is no more boost to pick up. If that is what u are trying to get at. I think the way to go is to try and stay away from overlap and try and keep the valves open as long as posible. Lots of lift to take advantage of the high flowing heads(if you have them). I do know that the GT2-3 cam is the cam that LPE uses in there 346 boost motors that make 550rwhp. Not sure on the PSI though.
