Questions on SDConcepts 8 rib LS1 kit.
I have an 01 SS with a Procharger P-1SC-1 and a 3.4" blower pulley and
the standard 7.65 crank pulley. The car is only making barely 5# at 6000 RPM and my only mods are Jet hot long tubes and off road pipe.
I emailed SDCE and talked to Wendy and she said the 3.7" blower pulley in an 8 rib set up would make 9-11#. I aksed what size the crank pulley was in the set up but got no reply. I have no belt slip issues now so i dont understand how a larger pulley would make more boost? Does anyone know what size the crank pulley is with the SDCE set up?
I am very interested in this kit but im having trouble getting info on it.
what size pulley would you recomend to get me around 8# with the 8 rib set up and the SDCE crank pulley?
thanks for the help!

Are u sure the normal crank pulley from ATI is 7.65? I thought it was 6.75 which make more sense if the SDCE setup is using 7.75 and 3.7 blower pulley. 3.4 with 7.65 will make more boost than 7.75 with 3.7 blower pulley. Each 1 increase in the crank pulley will equal .5 decrease in the blower pulley.
A larger crank pulley will make more boost because it does spin the blower at a faster rate hence the extra impeller RPM. U can use this formula next time to figure out how much Impeller RPM u need to get the desired boost giving there is no belt slippage.
(Engine RPM* Crank pulley size * step up ratio)/ Blower pulley size.
So if u have a 6.75 crank pulley now, 3.4 blower pulley, 4.10 step up ratio and lets say 6000RPM that means u are running your blower at 48838 RPM. Good luck.

Hopefully this will solve my problem and get me around 8#. Some tuning was done to the car but I am waiting to get it dyno tuned.
Will the ATI supplied 38 Lbs injectors be allright with the added boost?
Anyone need a 2.8 blower pulley?
Thanks again.
