Default W2W 6.0 First Dyno 836/842

First impression = motor is great, 49rwhp increase over the old motor while dropping the compression from 9:1 to 8.4 at the same boost. 20psi peak

I did mix in some 112 for the run because i was worried about running out of injector. I was right. Hit 100% at 5500rpm..Time for the Mototrons to retire to a new owner...what should I get?

Also could not hold boost, was dropping off about 2 psi after peak through to max rpm. This GT-80R has a .96.. I could go bigger a/r but I think I want to go bigger all together this one is officially for sale for $1700 plus ship (retail is near 3k with the bb upgrade and r trim wheel) I'll sell the injectors for $350 shipped. Both sales pend the receipt of my new parts.

Timing was very conservative at 16* per the wishes of Kurt... will see how long that lasts..

anyhow heres the vid: http://home.comcast.net/~deezuns/MM836.wmv

Dave,

Your results are very similiar to LS1Speed's result with their Innovative T76 car only their car is making the same power at 17psi. Is your turbo out of steam or could there be something else causing the dropoff?

That's LARGE! How much more timing do you think you'll add?

nice vid!! Is that tire smoke I see on the dyno?

Why did you change the short? Did you hurt the LS6 block setup?

Damn, awesome numbers! Everyone is stepping their game up lately Still same heads and cam, just different shortblock? You should think about a PTE-88...would fit nice and make near 1k.

Congrats on the new best

What are your plans now?

I think a bigger exhaust housing would help quite a bit, especially now with the extra displacement.

thanks everybody!!

the rings in the ARE 346 wore it out, they were chromoly rings, and while very good at handling punishment, also took their toll on the cyl wall (so i have come to understand). developed some nice blowby.. i was looking for a reason to upgrade anyway. the o4 z06 block, the old crank, cam, rods and pistons, and timing set are still in excellent shape, im currently looking for a new owner of that shortblock and if they want it rebuilt before i sell or not.

earl h, there is a good reason why my results are similar to the speed inc kit. check out the hot parts i think intimd8 is dead on that the extra ci is clogging up the little .96 a/r with exhaust.. plans are loose right now.. more turbo and more injector!

will be at the gm high tech shootout in englishtown.. will be trying to get some injectors at least before hand or will have to dial it down a touch

heres the full graph, it was allready updated on my page if you didnt notice
the psi fall off and 100%dc both happened right around 5500 revs.

no tire smoke, my exhaust shoots out that side and bounces off the wall and you get a nice exhaust cloud in there

the new motor is just a 6.0 iron block stock stroke 366ci, howards rods, mahle pistons, stock crank, new cam motion cam... more info in modifications page

this tune is what i will be using on 93 plus meth once i get more injector.. was 50% 93 and 50 112 plus meth on the dyno for good measure

Cgrats!

What is your peak fuel pressure with your boost referenced regulator? 58psi + 20psi, 78psi for the Mototron's wasn't enough?

Just thinkin'..
