Default man, what a screwed up night

Alright, I went to the 1/8 mile track tonight just to watch. It was a good night. Few cars running 5's anyway... I get back to town and there is this parking lot tucked away from anything that car people like to hang out at. I went and hungout with them for a while, bunch of 92 civics with dangling undercar neon kits and strobe alcheezos in the back. Anyway, when I was getting ready to leave, one of them told me to tag the parking lot. Being stupid I did. I didn't just tag it, I left my john hancock. I finished up and drove off watching all the ricers scramble behind me. I completely covered them in smoke. A buddy of mine called me and told me a firetruck stopped by asking about fires. he also said I completely covered a 95 Ford probe with a body kit and a huge wing with rubber. His white car from top to bottom was now black. Here's the screwy part. I pull off and the car wont go into first WTF so I try other gears. None of them work. I was already rolling and I managed just barely to pop it into second and roll. I thought about it for a second and gave the car gas with the clutch to the floor... It felt like I was just driving it normally engaged... I got to a stop sign on a hill on a busy road and knew it was all over... The car bogged when I stopped from the clutch not working. I could get it out of gear but I can't manage to get it in. My brand new SPEC3I with 800miles on it is toast. either that or the hydraulics are bad for some reason. I had to call a towtruck. Same guy that towed my car the first time and forgot to put the parking brake on "smashed up the rear" shows up. Time to open her up... If I'm not mistaken I think Hugger99 was asking me about the SPEC3I... My turbo isn't on yet. I'm making about 400rwhp and I managed to burn this sucker up in 800miles with a 350mile break-in... Pretty dissapointed at this stage, It seems I've created a pit in which to throw my money. Oh, and to keep this forced air relevant, my turbo is going to be delayed slightly Oh, and to answer some questions. The flywheel was also brand new front SPEC... billet steel and it was a brand new upgraded slave from a 2001+ I'm praying to god that it has something to do with the hydraulics and I don't have pieces of clutch bouncing around in there.

Same problem happend to me with the SPEC III. It lasted 900 miles and then SPEC sent me another one which lasted about 1000 miles before it messed up my stock slave clyinder. After that i went with the Mcloed and i have never been happier. Good luck man.

sounds like the disc broke.. probably slipped because it was not fully engaging.. you have an adjustable master on it?

i have had one clutch from spec slip and burn when it shouldnt have.. and they replaced it for free after i sent it back for inspection.

I'd like to save some money rather then just buying a new one from somebody else... I'll probably contact spec about it, see what they have to say. No, I don't have an adjustable master. Do I need one? I'm thinking about just getting a 4I or a 5... One thing I noticed though was the clutch disengaged awfully high, I almost felt like I didn't have a long enough clutch pedal to let it out as far as it wanted to be... Hey SLY, the motor is great, Thanks!

no, if you had one it could have been adjusted wrong.. since you don't then it comes out of the equation..

when you pull it apart, see if the pressure plate bolts have come loose.. thats the only thing left other than you somehow oiling down the clutch (like by not having a freeze plug in the back of the crank)

I don't see the clutch getting oiled down... Maybe the pressure plate bolts are loose, I'll check. If the disk is bad I'll be in contact with SPEC lickedy split. Would you advise in me not getting a 4 or higher? Maybe I can just get them to send me a higher power one for a few bucks more.
