Default Slowly but Surely

My time line for building this new turbo combo is OFF a bit but thanks to Nick D. the block is fully deburred and bathed. All of the bore/main measurements are documented and the main bearings have been fitted. Big Jelly pin fit the pistons/rods and Tim and I washed and prepped them for assembly. I should have a short block tomorrow afternoon! I will post more details then but here are a few pics from today anyways.

The GRP Aluminum Rods and Diamond Pistons are all coated by Dart Coating's. These piston's and rod's really are work's of art!

It is an 88/98. I am still going to run the 400 but there are plans to change that and not to a glide.

Thanks!

88/98, so the 'drag radial' turbo as it's called? That's what a few others are running.

I believe he has the same turbo as us.

Good to see some progress being made. Next season is going to be a lot of fun.

Todd, look's can be deceiving!! The pistons are not flat tops, they are dished. Just not your traditional dish. Also the valve pockets are deeper than -4cc

Do you mean 10.5:1 is not a good comp ratio for a boosted motor?

I agree with Kurt. isn't around 13.5:1 about right?

Tim
