Questions:
1) To whom are you marketing this blower for? IMO, it's not to the serious racer. Rather, it must be the daily-driver or weekend warrior. If this is the case, will the latter want to cut the cowl?
2) Can the blower be redesigned in the back so that it's sloped or angled to fit under the cowl without cutting?

And to 99Andrew...yes, there are some of us daily driver/weekend warrior types that have no problems cutting their cowl. That isn't a huge cut anyways.

99Andrew... You have to realize, that a setup like this, ie. mounted on top of the engine, is going to run into space constraints. Your comment regarding the target market and folks wanting to cut the cowl are mutually exclusive. To run a setup like this you would need to cut the cowl to fit the supercharger. Now that is the reason why there has not been a kit like this for the 93-02 F-Bodies for over ten years.

So lets say u put this on a 10:1 400RWHP H/C car.Then added the I/C 7lbs kit to it,what would u pick up and would the stock cr be too hard on the engine.I'd say it would pick up 90RW easy,maybe alittle more but again how long would the stock 10.1 shortblock last.

I've been waiting for a kit such as this, hopefully it can work under the stock hood with an intercooler. I'm sure the other forced induction makes more power if you are looking for max power, but this is my daily driver and need some more low end torque to really get this beast moving. Cutting the cowl isnt so bad since its not a huge chunk, but if the price is to high no one will buy this except a few.
Does anyone know how well the Corvettes with magnachargers are holding up with these engines? I know high boost isn't going to last to long, but what about low boost, is it still a toss-up whether the engine will stand 5 miles or 50 thousand miles?

PSJ - John. Pardon me for asking, but how many ppl have looked closely at the pic#3 and the Non Intercooled Vette pic on MaganChargers site------>.

I dont go to the Vette boards, so I havent got a lot of info on this particular kind of setup. But I am very interested in it. I love the idea of having the low end torque, not that I really need too much more !traction. But, I want to get around 650rwhp at the track, I know Nitrous can do that with this setup, but why not pulley it to have it all the time. Maybe its a simple matter of max impeller speed vs. displacement of SC itself, where as a 3.3L would make humangus gains over this.

-the blowers look like Magnachargers because Eaton builds them. They are all Eaton supercharger bodies.
-the belt in the back has a screw you tighten to adjust tension. simple setup, works well.
-stock drive pulley on Magnachargers is typically a 3.5" one, good for 6-7 psi. I have a 2.90 pulley on mine, it makes around 8.5 to 9 psi.
-cooling system is all external. There is just an IC inside the manifold, and the hoses go into and out of the manifold to an external resevoir, then into an electric pump, thru the heat exchanger (mounted to front of radiator) and back into the intake. You can fill that resevoir with ice if you wish.
-the hp limits of this setup are based on how much air it can move. 500-530 rwhp would be about the max of them. You could slap it on a 427ci LS1 and it wouldn't make more power, it simply couldn't feed that size engine enough air.

I'd imagine if I went to a 6.0 head my CR would drop back down to 9.5CR.I'd probably lose 20RW doing that but gain 90RW from the blower.If I picked up 70RWH/70RWTQ that would be pretty good.I'd have and easy 450/450,would make for a wicked street car.
The other benefit would be a Yank SS4000,that would feel tighter than my TP4200.
The car wouldnt leave as hard but pull alot harder from the 330 to the end.
10's would be easy w/this setup.
