Default Turbo or Supercharger

OK so on a sat i go out with the folks to look at cars and guess what i find and 00' camaro M6 Z28 with a forged bottom, upgraded brakes, all bolt ons, big *** cam, and exhaust. and guess how much.
$10,000
im gonna go get it tommorow comes with drags and some street rims
clean interior no probs with carfax.

Now comes the dellima it feels weird to take someones modded car. no way am i angry i just feel like i have to do something to it.

therefore my point. What Turbo, or Supercharger should i use? Its got a forged bottom. Im not sure on the CR but i think its close to stock. maybe 10.5:1 or 11:1

so any helpers?

by the way im 17 and looking for a cool job if anyone want to help me out?

Go out and learn how to drive the hell out of it as it is before you add power.

it would depend on the specs of the cam and engine ... not that any cam wouldnt work, but blowers and turbos prefer different opening and closing points than NA cars ... that said, I have decided to go with an STS kit for my truck when the time comes.

Unless you have a lot of money to dish your car out to a shop and have it done, it will take you a while to do it yourself, and you would need a reliable form of transportation.

As for blow vs turbo its all about how much money you have IMO, blowers are generally cheaper, but turbos are better. STS is making a turbo kit now that sells for under 4000 and mounts in the rear of the car.

As y2khawk said FI is a monster. There is more to it than just buying a turbo or supercharger you would prolly have over half what you paid for the car in doing a proper setup. i.e. fuel, tuning etc. But the real bummer is you WILL break things a forged motor will help but there are many other things rearend, clutch, transmisson etc. that will break. My vote is nitrous since its cheap and the money you save could be saved to fix the problems you will have down the road. Also for my vote well look in the sig.

Welcome to the pit

thank u for the input ill just have to see when the time comes(when i pay off the car).
nitrous is something ive always been told to stay away from.
Is there a big risk in using Nitrous? I just have seen many people throw the bottle away for turbos or chargers.

Talk with Nitro Dave.(in the nitro section). He has a really nice hidden kit for a good price. Get an auto bottle opener and let it rip.
