Default No more spray for me;mod list

I have made the decision to switch from spray to boost. After watching the 4 fast turbo cars on our site tear up the track in LA I couldn't let those guys have all the fun.The car will be ready for Commerce in April. Some of the new mods include...

Mahle pistons
Mahle rings
GRP aluminum rods
New Callies crank to help reduce compression ratio(C5R heads)
New solid roller turbo cam
Water to air intercooler
160 lb hr injectors
Dedenbear case Powerglide
Mini tub wheel wells to clear a 31/10.5 W tire.I'll have to run smaller rubber at Tech events, but since were already chopping the wheel wells I wanted to go as big as possible, one time.
Engine already has big valve C5R heads(398cfm) and a custom intake with a 105mm Wilson throttle body that will be used for this build.
The only decision I have left is to pick the turbo or turbos.I'm thinking a 94 mm Precision single or twins similar to what Matt has.
Motor should make sick power when done.

Dave

sounds like its gonna be a killer.

are you custom fabbigna kit or buying one, have you looked at the PTK vette kit, looks like you could fit some big twins on it.

It will be a custom fabbed setup done by Wheel to Wheel.Jonathan this is going in the Camaro, not the Vette.

Sounds awesome dave, are you just gonna sell the shortblock you have and build another one?

I like the idea of minitubbing a car and slamming it down on 29.5's or 30's.

Cool sounding setup. But if you're gonna mini tub the car I don't think you'll get that big of a tire on it. I've got a true 29.5 10.5 tire and it's about 1/4 from the LCA that is moved all the way in. keep in mind all my factory locations points are still intact. I could move the location points on the rear end in and make it look factory like I've seen some people do, but that's bending the rules I think.

A 29.5 x 10.5W is a very tight fit keeping the stock retention points. You need to do some other stuff to make them fit , but it's not a big deal. LCA's will fit in the stock locations, you just have to offset them fully.

As far as racing goes, most racing organizations like PRO or NSCA don't have a class at our speeds that allows twins. A large single (up to 101 for NSCA and 98 for PRO) is allowed in a class that you would be somewhat competitive in. Granted there are some guys that run mid to low 7's consistently in those classes. But with a little work I think you'll definitely be able to keep up with the rest of the field. That is, unless you are going up against Rick Moroso's new combo in the NSCA.

So the point is, if you want to race any organized events use a single as you'll have a better chance at a class you can run in. If you don't care run whatever!

WOW! Sounds like an awesome deal! Go with a single, you will be eligible to enter many different classes and still be able to be top 10 competitive. At least that is my plan.

Good Luck,

Tom

Don't forget Steve there is always the new revised Outlaw 10.5 Super Street class at Stanton this year. How nice it is to be able to run with all those slow 25.1 and 25.2 dbl rail cars this season. LOL. I'm glad I kept my 10.5's.

It's going to be a lot of fun to run all the local 10.5 stuff this year. Stanton, Martin and Milan all have 10.5 programs going on. It should be a lot of fun racing!

I would go with a large single....look at what speed incs setup did with only 17psi.....over 900rwhp.......that was with an 88

23-24psi on that setup is good for close to 1100-1200rwhp......
