I can't believe no one said "It doesn't count because it's a C5R motor!"

Congrats on the 7 sec slip Hardcore.
(MONGSE) Dont leave out the little boys down in houston(horsepowerengineering) because they might be doing it with a LS6 setup instead of C5R. And dont forget about the LT1 that WILL be the first LT1 in the 7's. 2005 RACING SEASON IS GOING TO ROCK!

Coming on here making a post that you went 7's without offering a slip. But saying if you come to our open house we will show you. That's bullshit. Is business that bad? I think things like this, among other things is why Ronnie's shop doesn't get the respect it should.

I think some people are misunderstanding the thing about LS1Tech records. LS1Tech is going to have it's own records holders and to get on that list the number must be run at one of the LS1Tech events. That is only for the LS1Tech series record.
As far as being the first to run 7's well no one can take that away from whoever did it first.

I would watch out for him this year!

Yeah, sorry I knew his name was Rick, I was just thinking of the fuel racer named Jim. I never said he was a bad guy. I don't know him, and really hadn't known about him until the Hot Rod article. Hopefully he puts up even more impressive #'s this year! On drag radials, no less!!

Couldn't agree more! The first part that is, because i have no idea what kind of shop they run or what kind of business flow they have.
How come we can't see the Timeslip showing the much IMPROVED 1/8 mile, 1000ft....etc... I think all the guys are asking for is some proof!
How do we know that 7.94 wasn't some crazy low 6 car that didn't hook for **** in the first 1/8 and came on strong in the final 1/8 to see what the car did? I know i don't believe **** till i see a timeslip or a video with solid proof.
Most of the guys that have been breaking records make sure to post a copy of their timeslip and a video or something, or in duke's case, just send copies of CD's to the competition .
How about some proof then we can all believe it.
But, i was at thunder when the ohio boys ran a 7.98 or some ****, and everyone was like: "HOLY HELL!! They stepped it up" Soon to be found out that something was fishy with the timeslips and it wasn't legite, or so i heard. but, without proof how the hell do we know if THIS pass was real?
Come on hardcore, show us a little proof, then we can all come up to your openhouse and shake your hand for the HUGE accomplishment.
As for all the comments on 6 second LS1's! I would bet that is a LONG way off!

You know whats ironic about this? ALl the bullshit that people are pulling out on this dude. Im well aware of the public image of the hardcore people and I cant say either way if they are good or bad apples but when other people come on this board with claims, people dont resort to timeslip, videos, official NHRA back up the record runs.
How about lightening up on these people till everything airs out? Its going to happen. You think someone is going to sit on it that long? LOL
